  • This video shows how the Hatsan Gladius was shooting, and returning the standard transfer port to try and solve consistancy issues. This may require a slight modification to the standard transfer port, but by the end of the video the rifle is shooting at the correct power. The standard transfer port is 1mm in diametre. An increase into 1 1/2 mm could be the ideal solution in the long run. The video shows the strip down and rebuild. If you want to skip that bit, go forward about 8 minutes.

    Can see your frustration mate
    Think you cover it well
So did some investigations and found on
    Huma-Air web site something weired
    On the Hatson Regulator menue
    Under Gladius
    Pri to ordering there Regulator
They want to know the details date etc what's printed on your cylinda
Of your Gladius rifles pri to 2017 Cylindas are ok but after 2017 they need the details so not a safety issue
It can only be a made fitting issue with hatsan air cylinda
    Going over to Aluminium
I would go on Huma site and email them asking why they want that info give them a brief discrimination of you Aluminium tube expanding. They may even know this and have addressed the problem .
I see your site as dealings with day state well they are using Huma Regulators in there Brocock Bantams and Snipers
So can't be a bad Regulator maker

Yes, you are right. I thought all the cylinders were the same and found that a regulator wouldn't fit the cylinder of the same model of rifle. A crazy idea. All the exhaust valves are the same fitting, but the internal diametre after the valve can be different, as there is a step down in size, meaning that unless you get the correct fitting regulator, they wont fit. The reason they ask for the date of the cylinder is so that they can make a regulator to the correct diametre. That's why an external one would work best, as it would go between the cylinder and valve, and as they are all the same fitting, they wouldn't need to mess around with making different sized regulators according to the cylinder. You can buy external regulators for rifles such as the Air Arms S200 and BSA Ultra etc.
