    Saw all the predictions for Masai indoors, I went Ackera. Won that bet. Saw all the predictions for Alia outdoors, I went Ackera. Won that bet. What's the lesson here? Never bet against the girl with ice in her veins, steel for nerves and a top end speed that could topple flat sprinters. Congratulations Ackera!

    Akera was on her game tonight. And credit to Masai for coming back after hitting the hurdle to take second. If Alia and Masai had not hit hurdles it would have been really close.

      Close for second. Ackera was not losing tonight. They didn't beat her out of the blocks as well as they needed to so from that moment they'd already lost. None of them have her kinda top end

      Lolo Jones in the 2008 Olympics final. Joanna Hayes in the 2005 world championship final. Both leading clearly and hitting the last hurdle. Numerous occasions of hitting the hurdles exist. I think the shorter hurdles event is the most unforgiving event concerning errors

      All 3 cleared that first hurdle together. Hitting the hurdles definitely changed the outcome. I think it would have been a photo finish if Masai didn't hit.

    Shout out to Ackera, she was the best hurdler today and that’s all that matters. Looking forward to these three battling it out for years to come. Masai and Alia’s nerves must have gotten to them, championship races require the utmost concentration.

      that was the fastest any college female has ever ran that event lmao. Yes the wind was too strong but no one has ever ran it quicker. So no she wasn’t just the best hurdler today. She’s the best in general

    I don’t consider Ackera winning an upset lol Baby shows up and shows out when it counts the most. She has the speed, technique and EXECUTES. Speed don’t mean anything in the hurdles if you don’t run a clean race. Especially at this level. The smallest thing will put you behind.

    Alia Armstrong clipping that 5th hurdle really costed her. You just can’t make mistakes versing these 2 girls. Her form is so pleasing to the eye.

      @@mannonKG No she wouldn't have 😂. She didn't beat Ackera out the blocks well enough, which means she never had a chance. Ackera has monstrous top end that is unmatched by either of these ladies, and in any case, in hurdles there's no would haves. If you would have won if you hadn't hit a hurdle in the hurdles race, its as good as saying you would have won if you'd been a bit faster in the flat sprint.

    Congrats to Ackera Nugent she is a champion for sure!!! Masai has been a workhorse for Kentucky running the 4x1, 400 hurdles ( even though she hates it), 100 hurdles, 200 meters and the 4x400. I wish kentucky would have let her just focus on the 100 hurdles for Sec's and this meet since she is a 5th year senior but I look forward to her, Ackera and Alia in the pro ranks ..... Hopefully one of them can make it to the World Champs this year in Budapest.

    "Ackera figures in"..its laughable! Its American arrogance and demeaning of the best U20 hurdler in the world. She has beaten all these competitors before. Has the 60m record, but still commentators not giving a Jamaican athlete full credit.
    Ackera even hit the last hurdle and they keep talking about Ackera had no babbles...while highlighting and finding excuses as to "why" the other athletes lost. The answer is...they got beaten!
    Dwight "old as" Stone, should retire and carry his bias comments with him.

    Nugent did great. What's wild is after hitting that 2nd hurdle Massai had to make up a bunch of ground on Nugent and also passed up Aliah Armstrong. Both are speed demons in their own right with 100m as good as 11.0 or 11.1! So Massai was really moving to be able to do this!
