Hi Cody, Grand Central Station was closed 2-4 am or so and Jimmy Fallon show also closed down one of the subway lines so they could get there from Katz Deli where they ate prior. Per Jimmy Fallon it was a big deal to pull off. I noticed going down to the subway they mentioned the station and subway train were very clean…you know they did a deep clean before BTS got there.

Film tourism is a huge moneymaker for New York City, so they ended up setting aside a subway car (and a bus as well) just for filming. Same thing with Grand Central - they allow filming in the early morning but it can be a challenge because film crews have to set up by 2 AM and be done filming and clean up everything by 4 or 5 am (don't remember which).

They shot this performance at night between 2am and 4am. They did the performance several times to get the perfect version and they were struggling a lot, because this choreo is SO tiring! Jimmy Fallon was very impressed by their exertion. He told that he hugged V and could felt his fast heartbeat through his back and through his jacket. In an interview they were asked what they think about the grand central station and they said that it was amazingly clean. The host laughed and told them that they - of course - cleaned it for the shoot. BTS is just too humble.😅
BTS is INCREDIBLY talented! But their talent is 't the reason for their huge success... They are successfull, because they are very enduring(!), dedicated, hard working, enduring their physical pain, because they have so much respect for their fellow members, because they care for each other and because they are SO grateful and loving for their fans.

Fun reaction as always :) There's a short behind the scenes for this Grand Central you might like to watch, they do in fact even mention the floors being slippery :) And there is a video of them doing this with an actual marching band complete with cheerleading type acrobatics in the background which is a lot of fun and cool. The choreo was done by the center dancer in the beginning, Sienna Lalau (she has a reaction video of watching this for the first time). Thanks!
If you listen closely, you can hear Jungkook drop out at the very end of his solo and you can hear the background track. It becomes clear that what you just heard was Jungkook sounding so perfect it's hard to believe it wasn't the studio recording.

Jimmy Fallon said that they was performing it at 3 am (correct me if I'm wrong) because they need to finish everything including the cleaning of everything at 4 am. And you know there is this phrases or words Jimmy Fallon said that we cannot forget and that is, BTS is really working hard since then, they put their work into passion and he said that when he go there at the center wherein BTS standing after the performance, when he hugged them one by one he can feel the heartbeats of each of them. He just realized how BTS really deserved all the things they have and they are having now. So we are, BTS is always amazing, they've gone through a lot of things yet they are shining more and more. They always having so much passion and love, and that is why army's really wanted them to have everything they really deserved, we always working hard for them as they always working hard to give us every meaningful songs and to keep us on learning on everything. They set up cameras, lighting and so on during the day while the station was open. Then it was closed for two hours in the middle of the night so they could film what they'd practiced in a separate dance studio.

Grand Central: BTS ran thru the piece 4 times. They had New York dancers. BTS said they would never have made it, but the dancers started shoving energy at them (no audience). You can hear and see it if you watch. The dancers worked so hard , some said they ended up in bed, utterly exhausted for 4-5 days. Nobody had anything left!
They recorded this between 2 and 4 am. They ran it through 4 times in a row and the one we see here is an edited together version... I think they said is was mostly the second run through with some of the 4th run through. They have also said on more than one occasion that the floor was slippery.
You should really react to when they preformed this live at the 2020 MAMA MNet.. they added to the dance break to where they get a few solo ones that are quite different. Also I believe it's performed at a football stadium.. you get to see more of the live marching band, other things going on in the back ground.. Took me a moment to realize it was the Fallon version! I kept thinking why is this coming up, I watched already! Oops! When I first saw the MV (the movie like one, not kinetic version), I think I have watched every MV & live performance of it. On repeat for at least a couple weeks. And do listen to it regularly still. Jimin and V do a song that Jimin wrote call Friend and it is just the best and cutest song. But for solo. Epiphany by Jin, Euphoria by Jungkook. Jimin has Lie, Serendipity (watch live, beautiful) and Filter that I have watched. V has Winter Bear and Inner Child (another adorable MV). I am not as big into full rap songs, but do love their rap parts in the songs, but not enough to seek out. The subway train car they used (in a different tv appearance) is actually a special car the MTA has for filming.

If you want to hear Jungkook sing with no filter, his raw voice in acapella way. Watch his VLive compilation. He covers english songs and their songs. He also sang 'Filter' by Jimin. Fun fact: He didn't even warm up his voice. JK is the only one who doing this throughout the years. 💜

There’s a comment about black swan that I totally agree with, Jimin is just flawless as usual. But if you’re looking to react to solo songs, I would recommend Euphoria (JK) Filter (Jimin) Moon (Jin) and Daechwita (Suga)
It was an amazing performance. Jungkook's vocals is out of this world, his range is mindblowing. I would love to see you react to some of his vlives, he sings a lot in them and it's a blast and joy to watch. Ida S has compilation videos of him, go check them out please, you wont regret It.
BTS has one of the hardest choreos in the industry. This was a key contribution to their standout success esp in the early days. Their performance director Son Sungdeuk has been instrumental to this from the start.
It's always nice to see people appreciate the uniqueness of Jimin's voice and how amazing singer he is. And he is the god of dance for sure.

They shot this performance at night between 2am and 4am. They did the performance several times to get the perfect version and they were struggling a lot, because this choreo is SO tiring! Jimmy Fallon was very impressed by their exertion. He told that he hugged V and could felt his fast heartbeat through his back and through his jacket.
In an interview they were asked what they think about the grand central station and they said that it was amazingly clean. The host laughed and told them that they - of course - cleaned it for the shoot. BTS is just too humble.😅

There is a behind the scenes video of BTS prepping for this performance. They were there around 2-4 am. They were super impressed by Grand Central.
Fun reaction as always :) There's a short behind the scenes for this Grand Central you might like to watch, they do in fact even mention the floors being slippery :) And there is a video of them doing this with an actual marching band complete with cheerleading type acrobatics in the background which is a lot of fun and cool. The choreo was done by the center dancer in the beginning, Sienna Lalau (she has a reaction video of watching this for the first time). Thanks!

If you listen closely, you can hear Jungkook drop out at the very end of his solo and you can hear the background track. It becomes clear that what you just heard was Jungkook sounding so perfect it's hard to believe it wasn't the studio recording.

Yes, they did the performance around 3 times in the morning. Jimmy Fallon says in one of his videos that he hugged V when they ended performing and he could easily feel his heart beating so hard from his back... taht hard they perform!!!
They did close grand central for this. They recorded it at 4am 😊 and yes it’s never closed so it’s a big deal

Jimmy Fallon said that they was performing it at 3 am (correct me if I'm wrong) because they need to finish everything including the cleaning of everything at 4 am. And you know there is this phrases or words Jimmy Fallon said that we cannot forget and that is, BTS is really working hard since then, they put their work into passion and he said that when he go there at the center wherein BTS standing after the performance, when he hugged them one by one he can feel the heartbeats of each of them. He just realized how BTS really deserved all the things they have and they are having now. So we are, BTS is always amazing, they've gone through a lot of things yet they are shining more and more. They always having so much passion and love, and that is why army's really wanted them to have everything they really deserved, we always working hard for them as they always working hard to give us every meaningful songs and to keep us on learning on everything.

They set up cameras, lighting and so on during the day while the station was open. Then it was closed for two hours in the middle of the night so they could film what they'd practiced in a separate dance studio.

Remember! Jimin is always at the center of the most difficult choreography and most of high notes with unique vocal way. Nobody can do it like him.

Dude, "Not today" live at Wembley stadium, it was epic, super epic choreo, the power they irradiate!
Grand Central: BTS ran thru the piece 4 times. They had New York dancers. BTS said they would never have made it, but the dancers started shoving energy at them (no audience). You can hear and see it if you watch. The dancers worked so hard , some said they ended up in bed, utterly exhausted for 4-5 days. Nobody had anything left!
They recorded this between 2 and 4 am. They ran it through 4 times in a row and the one we see here is an edited together version... I think they said is was mostly the second run through with some of the 4th run through. They have also said on more than one occasion that the floor was slippery.

You should really react to when they preformed this live at the 2020 MAMA MNet.. they added to the dance break to where they get a few solo ones that are quite different. Also I believe it's performed at a football stadium.. you get to see more of the live marching band, other things going on in the back ground.. I mean it totally should have been a Super bowl half time show for sure!!! Hope you react to it! Definitely a site to see! 💜💜💜
Yes, they performed 2-3 times to record it, look for jimmy fallons video and actually comments he hugged V as t the end and was able to feel V's heart beat so hard from his back. I think they sneaked in, Jimmy's video explains all about it. Its phenomenal!! Love your reactions Cody!!!

Took me a moment to realize it was the Fallon version! I kept thinking why is this coming up, I watched already! Oops! When I first saw the MV (the movie like one, not kinetic version), I think I have watched every MV & live performance of it. On repeat for at least a couple weeks. And do listen to it regularly still.
Jimin and V do a song that Jimin wrote call Friend and it is just the best and cutest song. But for solo. Epiphany by Jin, Euphoria by Jungkook. Jimin has Lie, Serendipity (watch live, beautiful) and Filter that I have watched. V has Winter Bear and Inner Child (another adorable MV). I am not as big into full rap songs, but do love their rap parts in the songs, but not enough to seek out. Though I have watched AGust D and Daewachin (spelled so wrong) And watched RM's Bicycle song. And Jhope's Chicken Noodle Soup.

The choreographer and dancers was from the LA based the LAB Creative Art Studio (known for choreo for famous,well known artists), with the actual choreographer Sienna Lalaou, only age 18-19 at the time. She also was the choreographer for BTS song 'Dionysus'. Which also has amazing choreogrphy as well. Dionysus is another BTS song you need to react to.
