Once dunkey began talking about a new game on the Big Mode memo and the bgm started playing I already knew it was this gem, I've been playing it for years and I still love it, gotta thank dunkey for helping me discover it
The tightest roguelike shmup i ever played on PC. No idea how they'll do with joycon sticks but i always wanted it on Switch. Bigmode is the ultrarare niche publisher i've been missing.

Go big mode! I hope more retro inspired games become mainstream. I think extravagant 3D worlds end up watering down the gameplay experience. Most of my favorite games are 2D or are effectively 2D with rigid camera angles which allows for simpler controls and more attention detail.

to me, this is THE roguelike. there are many good ones, but this is the essential one that perfects a lot of the genre's quirks. Also, play ZeroRanger, a shmup developed by some friends of these guys!
@@DanielG-e8t They both take inspiration for aesthetics from Cho Ren Sha 68K, a freeware shmup from the 90's. It's available for current day PC's if you look it up.
this is a very good game that absolutely deserves the better attention provided by Big Mode, ANYWAY please make it work better on pc (64bit support) cause personally playing on Linux is a nightmare (both native and through wine/proton) and ultimately is the reason why I didn't play it much
