Ah Kappy how good it is to hear your sane, calm, positive, voice, in the midst of all the craziness going on in this world we live in. Thankyou for showing us another lovely house that is on the way out.
This house is beautiful even in the shape it's in thanks for taking me with you on this explore say hi to Ruby for me that is my name to stay safe on this explore.

I saw a sight online sometime ago with photos of the inside before all the water damage. The ceilings were stunning ! A search will show how it looked not that long ago. Sad to see it has deteriorated to this. His grave is behind the house I read.
It's such a shame that the gorgeous fire place wasn't saved. I don't think you can get it now with the floor giving way beneath it. Thanks Kappy. Another great find.
I filmed a video here about three months ago, but I didn't venture out onto the second floor, especially since I was by myself. It was cool to see it! The scrappers are really tearing this place apart. I really wish someone could have gotten this place before it went beyond the point of no return. Dr. McCown is buried in the back yard. After his death, at some point a school was located in the house and I think the brick sign pillars in the front went to the school. I don't know if the school was the last occupant, but I think it was pretty close. Cool explore!
Agreed! Definitely check out the link in the description if you are interested in old pictures of the house as well as a more in depth history then I give! Thank you for watching :)
This poor house in such rough state. I would give my right arm to own a house like this in the middle of know where. Why do these houses get left like this its part of history to save them not let them get to this point. Such a shame another piece of history lost to the elements through abandoment
That house must have been so nice in its day. I can't imagine why it was just left and that no one wanted it. But it's too far gone to be saved now. THANKS, Kappy
Love the floor to ceiling windows and wood ceilings in that house! Must have been a real beauty. Thanks for the explore and the train station add-on! Stay safe! ✌
KOOK AT THOSE CEILINGS wow. the pocket doors are still there. the trim around the windows are amazing. this poor house is to far gone to nature to be fixed but the woodwork should be taken out to salvage. great find and thanks for sharing this tour to us. lean on God
Well I count myself lucky to have seen this place while the patterned wooden ceilings & some traces of the decor remain, but it must have been jolly fine in its prime.
Thanks Urban Exploring with kappy for sharing with me this video about a beautiful 106 year old forgotten bird song house in georgia it was a really interesting video kappy and i really enjoyed it and i can't wait to see your next video and God Bless and thanks again.
What a tranquil setting: the long grass or weeds, the trees beyond and the house standing up over the trees in that bright sunlight. Those two gables and the porch roof that are seen over the trees that are up by the house make me think of the famous house Grey Gardens which, happily, has been restored.
Wow, I'm loving the porch, the word work and even the ceilings. Can you imagine how cold it much have been in the winter with the floor to ceiling windows! Tennessee girl
Oh my word! The design on the fireplace, the windows, the woodwork! This house is gorgeous! Can you imagine what it looks like back in the day? Such a waste of a beautiful home. Thanks Kappy for sharing. This is so sad that beautiful homes like this are left to fade away, along with its memories. Stay safe Kappy! 😊

Wow! That house was once glorious and it was cool to see even the remnants of its beauty. Someone put much thought into the architecture and design. I liked how it looked like the porch was accessed directly from different rooms. Imagine…how nice it once was!
"Parkay", I would say! Fascinating this ceiling woodwork. Have had this type of floor, nothing in comparison to this old Georgia home! Enjoy the region! My kinfolk live outside of Atlanta.
Wow that house went downhill fast in 20 years! Looks like there was some 80s decorating. We sure loved that pink and blue. My first living room had “English Rose” drapes. House had a wonderful personality inside and out. One of those train depots near us was turned into a public library. If you come up 95 take the Carson exit in southern Va. Its really cool and there is a caboose restored. Trains still come through. But none stop. And sorry, I’ve never seen a cute spider. Lol Thanks for the tour. Stay safe.

Great explore kappy house is in a beautiful location the trees 🌲 around it are nice. The porch is a lovely addition especially that it’s a wrap around, inside the house I also like the wood work and design it’s very big and their was a lot of rooms too. Back in the day this would of been lovely to live in. 🏠😃
My bf and I was so drawn in by these old beautiful houses.. i wish i could save them all. I want to touch things as you move through the houses.. really cool what you are capturing here!😊
Oh oh major roof damage. Another beauty to be lost to the ages. I am surprised the porch is in such good condition. The ceilings in this home are amazing. I have not seen anything like this before.
You always find such neat houses. It was very interesting what you could see from outside. Nice fireplace in the one room downstairs. Don’t apologize for the upstairs. If people can’t see for themselves how bad it is, they don’t need to expect you to even try! It is amazing ~ all the rooms are nice size. Wouldn’t you have liked to save this one!

I love the floor to ceiling windows, the pocket doors, wood trim and always the fireplace mantles, thank you for sharing this home. When you go to these old homes you should have a metal detector with you.
Beautiful old house. That porch is killer. I spy some old brick, some gorgeous old wood, and fireplace mantels. I bet that wooden mantel piece would fetch a hefty price at some auction. That upper room thing, can't tell you how I hate wooden panelling. Echoes of the 70's. ;) What a gorgeous place. Thanks for being my happy place!

When I see these abandoned homes I never see them in the condition they are in now. I see them as someone’s home, with curtains in the windows and kids playing in the yard, as it was years ago. Someone loved that home and was so proud of it years ago.
Oh my what a beauty this must have been All the beautiful ceilings, fireplaces, floors, and windows such a waste of good lumber.and the wrap around porch very nice 👍😍❤️
Hi there kappy great video. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us follower's thank u. Take care of yourself and stay safe out there on your next adventure.
This place is just beautiful. Would loved to have seen it before all the damage though. Love the wall paper, all the wood work that is still there pocket doors, mantels and the ceilings for sure. They have about stripped it down including the wood floors. What a shame. Have a great day
Such beautiful crisp and clear footage. The outside shots were very calming and peaceful! Love the inside too! Looks like Dr. McCown died in a plane crash in the 70s. Very somber. Interesting history, interesting old house!
What a great house! Love the fireplace mantels and the ceilings! But pink in the entry? Cheap paneling-ick! Must have been a grand lady in her heyday! Thanks. Kappy!
What a beautiful house! I really enjoyed seeing the wallpaper and the layers of paint. Thanks for showing us the train station too. Have a great weekend!

Amazing to still see glimpses of the house's beauty and charm amid the rubbish. Someone def salvaged those cool banisters and mantles. Love that there was a fireplace in each large bedroom, and those artisan ceilings...wow!! The yellow roses wallpaper upstairs was lovely at one time. 💛 Thanks Kappy! Stay safe!
The large, open rooms and floor to ceiling windows are wonderful. As much as I loved seeing the fireplace in the formal sitting room, I hope such a jewel isn't left to rot. I've not yet looked, but I hope you posted the pictures you mentioned. That was a beautiful house.
Thank you for the history on the house, it would have been a beautiful home in it's day. The history of Mr. McCown keeps it alive when the old beauty is gone.
The house was a beautiful one when it was new, the property looks so nice, loved the wrap around porch and fireplace mantels, and I'm glad that you didn't fall through the floor!, thanks for sharing another great video, have a great week. Happy Halloween 🎃🎃😊😊
Don't worry about not being able to get to the third floor - a lot of it had fallen through onto the second floor anyway. A lovely house, and another great find.
I absolutely love your videos. Thank you for showing us these forgotten beauties! It’s always such a heartbreak to see beautiful antiques, woodwork & architecture abandoned. We literally just bought a farm in Ohio that the home was built in 1886 and barn around 1900. It needs a lot of restoration - but I’m happy & proud to do it. Would love for you to visit! Also, I have to say that I always worry that you’re going to fall through the floors or stairs! Be careful!
Sad to see this wonderful ol girl sitting like this. I bet she was a Gem in her time...... someone should have saved her for sure. I am afraid its to late for her now . Great video as always Kappy !!

Wow. I would have loved to have seen this one in its prime with all the unique woodwork ceilings. Great job Kappy! I think the attic stairs fell down with the rest of the attic. I think we could see most of it through the slats anyway.

Hi Kappy! Thanks for the tour and for posting the article, so interesting! And you're so right about that staircase, it was so unique and absolutely beautiful and I've never seen ceilings like that, gorgeous.
❤️❤️💔😥😥How beautiful this house is! I can hardly wait to get started on the exploring! This house must sit very close to a highway or something. That would make me want to move the house! For the life of me, I can't imagine what could make that sound. Tractor trailers on a fast parade route, perhaps? The woodwork in this house is just as lovely as the house itself once was. The ceiling in this room, though fallen, is stunning with the grain of the wood running different directions. It plays off the design of a coffered ceiling, but it's much more shallow. Never see this type of ceiling before. Must be an original design. The wood in the next room appears to be charred. Maybe there was a fire in this house. That would explain all the water damage and the fallen ceilings. Those built-in cabinet and shelf combinations are really well done. The wallpaper's design is so delicate! Thanks for the close-up, Kappy. I really like those floor to ceiling windows but they'd creep me out at night. I'd be afraid someone was looking in. Hey, Zane! Good to see you again. Somebody's got to keep an eye on Kappy, to keep him safe. This kitchen is really ravaged. All they left is the stove hood and a crippled, three-legged table. How sad. I'll bet some fancy meals were prepared in this big kitchen. This front hall was so beautiful once, with that big door and its surrounding windows. I agree with you, Kappy. I like pink, but that's a bit much. The fireplace is pretty. I wonder if it's done by hand or if it's pressed wood. I guess the hallway ceiling was wood, too. I thought it might be pressed tin. This room has a lovely ceiling, too. No money was spared on this house's constructionor design! I liked the next room's yellow color better than the blue, which is too intense! Of course, it's better than that pink. I don't know about going upstairs...well, maybe. Above that is probably too dangerous. Good thing Zane is with you! Looks like someone's ripping up everything! What IS that recurring noise? Is this house next to an interstate highway? There is actually green moss growing on that floor! Inside the house! Oh, what a heartache that this house should deteriorate so badly! It was a showplace in that long ago time. That train station is so cool! I really like old trains and their buildings. Thanks for taking the time to film that one, Kappy. I enjoyed seeing this house and trying to picture it before the damage occurred. I'll bet it was a beauty. I still want to know what that infernal noise was! Oh well, thanks for putting up with the mosquitoes and risking your life to show us as much of this place as you did, Kappy. Thanks to Zane for being the voice of reason to keep you alive to film another house!
😭😭😭😭 . Must of been a pretty beautiful home when it was kept up . I guess the one good thing here is most of the persons personal belongings where removed from the home . Please never feel obligated to us to go into an area where you are putting your own health in danger . We do not want to be reading or hearing on another blog former Vloger known as Kappy fell to his death in an abandoned home he was filming . Your health and safety first . Thank you for filming and sharing this with us . One of the best videos I’ve seen in a bit .
Welcome to Georgia....mosquito haven 😱. Looked like a beautiful place at one time......sure wish you could save that fireplace mantle around 7 min mark 😓. Safe travels and explores Kappy 💗🕊️
I loved this place!!!❤️ Loved the architecture, floor to ceiling windows, window & door casings, fireplaces, room height & ceilings!!! I wish I had tons of money & youth 😳🤣 to restore this beautiful property to it’s original grandeur…adding insulation, of course 👍❤️ Unfortunately the train station would be a total tear down & rebuild, but what an awesome, darling, little guest house it would be 👍😍 I hope that someone at least saves the wonderful, no longer-existing, features that are not being recreated any longer😢 Thank you Kappy, for sharing this beautiful property!!! I’m glad that you are exploring with a friend! Much safer that way!!! I truly loved it ❤️❤️❤️
This house has the most unique mantels I’ve ever seen. So beautiful ! I love your videos, Kappy but I always get a little sad lol. I just hate to see these gorgeous old homes falling down. Nice job, as usual! ❤️. Thanks
Thank you! I'm glad you experienced this house and shared it. I love your enthusiasm and then how you throw in the suspense with "Not sure I can get up there..." so we are left on the edge of our seats to see if the obstacle is too great for Kappy to solve. What woodwork remained was awesome to see. It is too bad this house was left to rot but it sounds like there are photos I can search for to see it before the woodwork was harvested. This is my favorite time of the year, and when I look for horror movies to watch and see titles such as "Stay Out of the Attic" and "Don't Look in the Basement" I am left wondering, what is Kappy doing?
Check out the description! There’s a link with pictures and history of this house! And thank you very much! I’ll have too do something special for Halloween lol thanks for watching! :)
Wow kappy, this is spectacular!! Great find! Such rich history and beauty,it should be saved and made into a museum or bed and breakfast in. Even in disrepair you can see the workmanship put into the house. Love the victorian wallpaper, thank God they didn't put drop ceilings, their ugly, not to mention they don't belong in that type of house. The ceilings look like the floors upside down,I believe they're called parquet floors, they're gorgeous!! Love the veranda, great for the summer, thanks kappy
You are in my neck of the woods again! Thank you for the video. I was curious about the interior. I got a recent picture of exterior with a huge buzzard on top of roof...spooky. A grand lady she once was!

All those huge spacious rooms! I especially loved the wide hallways. This was a grand house in its day.
I just dont understand why people let these beautiful homes rot away,,,,wish it was savable
It's falling in everywhere...but listen to the birds singing....love floor to ceiling windows..so majestic

A lady called Johnna
It's such a shame that the gorgeous fire place wasn't saved. I don't think you can get it now with the floor giving way beneath it. Thanks Kappy. Another great find.
Back in the day I bet that house was spectacular
Although she looks rough, I’m able to look beyond that and imagine this place when first built which was probably spectacular! Thanks again Kappy! 😊✌️
I filmed a video here about three months ago, but I didn't venture out onto the second floor, especially since I was by myself. It was cool to see it! That's a classic southern manor. Complete with the dog trot (for ventiliation) down the center entrance way.
This house makes me sad that it wasn't restored and people are not living in it. It looked like it would have been a wonderful place to live.
Agreed! Definitely check out the link in the description if you are interested in old pictures of the house as well as a more in depth history then I give! Thank you for watching :)

Crazy lovely ceiling, pocketdoors, floor to ceiling windows, staircases, i must have come from another era. Ilove all that old stuff. Fire places.

All that wood work on the inside is like you said beautiful. It does look like it could be repaired. 😊👍
Sad to see the beautiful stair rail
Gone. Interesting story

Great as always, Kappy. That ceiling really was something to behold!
Thank you for sharing the video & linking the article.
Love the floor-to-ceiling windows and the front porch 😊👍
This was a great explore...Thanks Kappy 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🧚
Congrats on over 100,000 subs.
Wow. I would have loved to have seen this one in its prime with all the unique woodwork ceilings. Great job Kappy! I think the attic stairs fell down with the rest of the attic. I think we could see most of it through the slats anyway.
I'm so in love with this porch!
I googled Mcowen, fascinating. His grave is behind the house. Beautiful place.

Wow beautiful house 🏘️🏡 so sad that it had to be let go nice find
So many beautiful homes in the South that are rotting away. So sad!
Hi Kappy! Thanks for the tour and for posting the article, so interesting! And you're so right about that staircase, it was so unique and absolutely beautiful and I've never seen ceilings like that, gorgeous.
Love it Kappy!!!!
10:15 any one else who had to rewind, he said turrets not turds.
Thank you! 👍❤️
Sure did!
Welcome to Georgia....mosquito haven 😱. Looked like a beautiful place at one time......sure wish you could save that fireplace mantle around 7 min mark 😓. Safe travels and explores Kappy 💗🕊️
Wow, magnificent! It's tattered, stripped and bared but there are still signs of past grandeur.
Hello….how are you doing?
I like how the weeds covers the front porch bringing nature so close.
What a grand home! I can imagine it in it’s day! Such a shame to see it sit and decay! Thank you for getting the video!
Another most awesome video Kappy!
Thank you for watching! :)
❤️. Thanks
Hello…how are you doing?
@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 thank you! Note to self, read entire description before commenting.
@@jared1870 no worries!! Thank you for watching!
With a house this size, you’d think there would be a servant’s staircase.
I was surprised as well but this house was built in 1917-1919 so a lil newer then the ones I typically do!
Another beauty Kappy ! Must of been something to see in its Glory days
Yes I could imagine someone living in that house & walking around to the train station to go to visit someone.
Hey, what a grand old home. Thank you, m.m.
You are in my neck of the woods again! Thank you for the video. I was curious about the interior. I got a recent picture of exterior with a huge buzzard on top of roof...spooky. A grand lady she once was!
Good explore. You’re very brave.
"Hey honey, look at this ornate wood work! Let's slap some pastel pink and toothpaste mint on those bad boys!"
Disgusting ...isn't it?..😟
Thank you for providing the link to the homes owner and history.
