  • Roger & Jennifer are already two rather stylish clients when it comes to modern decor. However, their midtown home has been segregated by a wall dividing the kitchen and dining room. It's the task of Design Inc. to not only get rid of the wall, but create a kitchen that flows, has ample storage, and provides the wow factor!

I've seen this one and most of Sarah's videos before. No matter how old they are they never get old.

I love early 2000's design so much. The chocolate browns and greens. Sarah and her team are the best!!

Sarah is meticulous, i love her attention to getting all the details right. And of course the kitchen is still beautiful today, probably 15 years after it was installed.

Absolutely stunning and taking into consideration that this is at least 10 years old if not more, the counter tops are superbly modern and one of the most popular choices today. the whole design is practical, beautiful combinations and comfort galore. I’m so glad they got rid of the stupid custom-made Square table which would’ve been a nightmare with a baby and that around table is not only gorgeous but very practical and inviting

What a fantastic kitchen transformation, classic as always! Huge kudos to Abode for Design Inc! I love to see Sarah and her team always pull it all together, despite (many!) obstacles along the way. This is one beautiful kitchen (e.g. w/the natural woods---OH so gorgeous and timeless.) The before-and-after is incredible. Thank you Abode!

One of my favorites. And it completely holds up over time, despite being “modern”. I’ll be looking into slate countertops now.

Very unusual colour for a countertop but I do like the overall modern design. The transformation is very dramatic, that kitchen doesn’t resemble anything of the previous white one.

The living room and dining interior designs could still work in 2022.

The wood front on the cabinets that match the floor without being too well-matched, but a bit different while keeping the tone are really inspiring. The stone slabs are unique. I love them! I think I might have tried to incorporate a window in a new place and put the cupboard where the window is now. Overall, it is beautiful. Love this show. So many rich design ideas and so many tastes to show and demonstrate!

Gorgeous kitchen. I’m so glad they got rid of the square table. It was awkward and the short legs were weird

Sadly because this show was recorded in the early 2000s, the TV probably cost $2,500.

Considering the model of the cel phone (18:13) ...is it an episode of 1999?🤔

the only criticism I have is the fridge is up against an oven with no counter between. The counter is to the left of the fridge

Didn't get it...why are they got rid of the white marble dining table? I would never put round table, used it, very uncomfortable. Good looking only on pictures. Overall very clever design.

    • @chs75

Those were two different rooms. The white table is in the living room, they already owned the round table in the dining room.

There are many conflicting opinions about stocks and their prospects in the coming years; I aim for short-term solid gains from market corrections, and I'd definitely hop on the ride if I knew a couple of things about day-trading, That is not on my speed right now i guess.... I'm just looking to make the right moves to help me grow and protect my $670,000 reserve from inflation that looks so scary.

This is absolutely beautiful, I guess. Once again we get 18 plus minutes of planning and talking. Demolition and talking. Shopping and talking.
Then there is decorating and more talking followed by quick close ups of chair legs, cabinet handles and a close up of the refrigerator. There are a
few very brief wide shots of the room You better look quick cus that's all you are going to get. I want to see a slow camera that gives me a sense of
the whole layout from front door to the back. Is that too much to ask ?

When is the client right? Insisting on the purple slate countertops. When is the client wrong? Wanting a TV in the kitchen. The shallow shelves holding family photos and the television looks pathetic. Otherwise, super design.

All of these women look exactly alike to me! I can't keep it straight on who is the client and who is the interior designer. Is the woman who said she is pregnant the client or the Design Inc. employee???

Although I’m not a fan of the custom table, I am equally not a fan of that glass table. I like a round table but hate glass. They never stay clean and with a baby soon to arrive, it’s going to be a nightmare of smudges, hand prints etc. Not practical.

  • @lilly5758

Imagine a designer you're paying being upset you want more storage in your own kitchen? Wow, and a good designer would have been able to work in that marble table the client loved.

I do not like the wall with the shelves and tiny tv. The tv is the size of an iPad! What is the point?! Who's gonna be able to watch anything on that screen??? Sarah is so opposed to televisions she always wants to cover it up OR she never buys a tv the right size to fit the room and no one ever calls her out on it. They should've just opted for a nice large piece of art on that wall! I don't get the shelves. It makes no sense to have a wall of open shelves that looks like only postcards can fit on it.
