The Phoenix departed in the dark Phoenix saga. I don't think the Phoenix is ever gonna be able to come back to gene. It's not like it's called to her. I don't think it was once a part of her. I honestly think it makes no sense that it was Wolverine who managed to reach Magneto. He was behind an electromagnetic field that no one could go through, why would the mutant that has metal inside be the one to get to him? And it's not even clear how he even got there... Not to mention all the Prime Sentinels that still haven't been cured yet.
From what I got out of the episode. I think it’s the logic of trying to combine Magneto to turn off the EMP. If the EMP stays the world could end and at that point what world is there to save? Problem is that Magneto is on the warpath and won’t listen to Xavier after going down Xavier’s path which led to Genosha. So really the best chance they have is to stop Magneto as they stop Bastion. Magneto won’t work with the X-Men unless they unite under him, so they kinda had to fight to turn the EMP off
Xavier literally said, "Hey, we have a plan to stop Bastion but also need you to fix the damage to Earth's magnetosphere." Magento countered that humanity can't undo the Genosha Massacre, and he's pretty much done with us.

There is no doubt in my mind that this show is Ethan. Awesome, it is not a children's Siri's anymore. And I freakin love it for that. No more fox kids restraints. The gloves are now off LO. L love this series. To pieces, even the dramatic moments are freaking awesome. They feel like real people. No longer bound by kid restraints and network problems.I love it keep giving us more
