  • These commercials aired on WSYX on October 24th, 1992. Happy Halloween!
    1. "The Horror Hall Of Fame III" Intro (Brought to you by Nightmare, Butterfinger, Mennen and Toilet Duck. This was essentially a clip show taking footage from the previous two "Horror Hall Of Fame" specials and adding a magic show and a musical number. It's seen as a step down from the first two in that regard but I still found the reused interviews/behind the scenes stuff cool. The full special can be seen here: • Horror Hall Of Fame II... )
    2. Nightmare (Incredible!!! Obligatory: • NIGHTMARE and Beyond -... Also the entire VHS tape from the game can be seen here: • The video board game "... )
    3. Butterfinger
    4. Promo for "Entertainment Tonight" (LOL at Mary Hart's face at the end)
    5. WSYX News Promo
    6. CLR (Seems like it still has the exact same packaging)
    7. Toilet Duck (WOW!!! I haven't seen one of these ads in over 20 years and totally forgot how awesome they were!!!)
    8. TV Spot for "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (Cool! This is by no means a perfect movie and Keanu Reeves can't do a British accent to save his life, but it has a lot of great atmosphere. It seems idiotic of them to not release it before Halloween, regardless of the tenuous Friday the 13th connection)
    9. Mennen Speed Stick
    10. Intermission Intro (Brought to you by Actifed. Weird that the question is: here's footage of Danny Kaye, who the hell is he? I guess I possess too much random film/actor knowledge for these questions to be difficult)
    11. Actifed
    12. Intermission
    13. Bally's
    14. Schottenstein's (Some seriously embarrassing clothes here. WTF at those overalls. And I'm glad that we as a nation overcame the whole tucking all shirts into high-waisted pants thing)
    15. Promo for "The Maury Povich Show"
    16. "The Horror Hall Of Fame III" Commercial Bumpers (Brought to you by Nightmare)
    17. Ultra Slim-Fast
    18. "The Horror Hall Of Fame III" Commercial Bumper (Brought to you by "Alien 3" Video Games by LJN: • Alien 3 (NES) - Angry ... , Stetson and Exclamation)
    19. Ziebart TidyCar (Wait, this isn't a Will Ferrell SNL sketch?)
    20. Patio Enclosures, Inc.
    21. Unfinished Wood Furniture Stores
    22. Judge Cloud for Domestic & Juvenile Court (With a name like Clifford Cloud you've automatically got my vote!)
    23. William Schuck for State Representative (He served until his retirement in 2000)
    24. Germain Toyota
    25. Ocean Spray Ruby Red
    26. Bathroom Duck
    27. Ultra Slim-Fast (With Kathie Lee Gifford)
    28. Promo for "Women, Men & Menopause"
    29. Promo for "Live! With Regis & Kathie Lee"
    30. Promo for "A Current Affair" (I had forgotten how cutting that sound effect was)
    31. TV Spot for "Bram Stoker's Dracula"
    32. Intermission Intro (Brought to you by Nestle Toll House Morsels. Again, ridiculously easy question)
    33. Nestle Toll House Morsels
    34. Intermission
    35. Community Mutual
    36. Beltone Hearing Aid Center
    37. Promo for "Donahue" (Come and be a Donahue People)
    38. Gravity (LOL)
    39. Sofa Express Outlet
    40. Promo for "Sally Jessy Raphael"
    41. Promo for "Inside Edition" (WE'LL DO IT LIVE!)
    42. Arlene Shoemaker for County Commissioner (Shots fired!)
    43. Long John Silver's
    44. Judge Young and Close for Franklin County Court of Appeals
    45. "The Horror Hall Of Fame III" Commercial Bumper (Brought to you by "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" Video Games by LJN: • Terminator (Part 2) - ... , Tribe and Gravity)
    46. Butterfinger
    47. Ultra Slim-Fast (I sincerely apologize for the heavy Kathie Lee content in this volume, but after all it is Halloween)
    48. Butterfinger
    49. "The Horror Hall Of Fame III" Ending (There was no "Horror Hall of Fame IV")
    50. "The Horror Hall Of Fame III" Commercial Bumper (Brought to you by Nightmare, Toilet Duck, US Air, Universal City Hilton, Preferred Stock, Lady Stetson and Bicycle Playing Cards...phew!)

I'll admit, Halloween was a bit odd this year because I was under a lot of weird stress, so settling down late at night after all this watching this was a satisfying way to cap it off. Thanks. :)
Looked like a REALLY fun special too.

    Happy Halloween, everyone!
I still have a bottle of that Gravity cologne haha! I remember first getting a bottle back in 1997 and thought it was the best smell ever!

Just want to say thanks for doing this marathon the past few days. Really enjoyed it, and looking forward to the Christmas one.
    Also...
4:18 - The Grungies may or or may not be related to The Greasies.

Back when commercials were trying harder. I can't think of a more awesome way to make a commercial for toilet cleaners. The Simpsons Butterfinger commercials were better than any that came before or since. They should have kept that deal.

Fred Rated himself doing the intro voiceover! AWESOME!
WSYX, how original for a station name! Fisher Big Wheel, even more so for a store!
Grungies, close distant relatives of the "greasies" from Vol. 470!
Nice link to the AVGN episode on Alien 3!
    ZEEBERTTEDDYCAH!
Ad for a judge followed by T2: Judgement Day! NO PROBLEMO!

Back in the early '90s, Maury's talk show was pleasant ... and these days, Maury's talk show is almost hard to watch.

Joseph Pratt uh, right! I mean, back then, you had actual variety. You had future stars like hunter hays there, my favorite of his shows when he brought out 2 of the finest game show legends who are now no longer with us, bless their souls.

Entertainment Tonight-hopefully Kramer wasnt watching that day(Seinfeld reference..)
Bram Stoker's Dracula-was dumb how they stopped using the preview in which real human blood was used to create the effect for the title
Judge Cloud-sounds like a character from the Judge Dredd comics lol
Maury Povich-this was back before he switched to the format of countless paternity/lie detector tests & teens-out-of-control shows
Bally's-wish that the one i sometimes went to looked like that..
Nestle Toll House-would eat those like candy :D
Sally Jessy Raphael-"You should GET OFF YA HIGH HAWRSE.." LOL

At the moment Schumacher's attack ad on DeMoss came out, she put him in political checkmate.

That's right, folks-what Value City's department store arm was to the rest of America, Schottenstein's was to Columbus only. Even today, the Westerville Road location still stands dormant (AND derelict) over the North Side. I hope they put it to good use-and *soon...*

miss all those trashy talkshows sally jenny jones donahue geraldo god there were so many of them and they were all cheesy trashy and in bad taste that somehow ended up looking good

I think Jenny was cancelled due to the murder of a man who was on that show. I miss Geraldo Rivera though.

You clearly see the game being shown with the rest. You saw that.Is weird.

    • @80sCommercialVault
      @80sCommercialVault  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Obviously it was in development but not released yet. It wouldn't have made much sense to directly advertise a game that wasn't in stores for months, especially back then.
