I didn’t understand what the assault had to do with the paternity. I’m a Victor myself but I couldn’t connect the dots as what that had to do with the baby. Was she saying that the child resulted from the assault? Imma rewind it.

How would she know at conception that the alleged rapist would be the father of the unborn child (as she claims she told him) if she was in a (sexual) relationship with the plaintiff that whole time? She's having unprotected sex with the plaintiff regularly, and then allegedly got raped by a different man during the relationship with the plaintiff. It would be impossible for her to know who out of the two would be the father prior to the birth without an INVASIVE prenatal DNA test. If she actually got one, it would prove she actually took steps to confirm the true paternity of the child, which would make it more reasonable to presume she made the plaintiff aware before he signed the birth certificate.
She produced court documents about missed court hearings, so she definitely would have shown a prenatal DNA test result if she actually did one.
She wants people to believe she told her teen boyfriend who she is regularly sexually intimate with that she was raped but knew that only the rapist impregnated her, and that the teen boyfriend willingly and knowingly signed the birth certificate with no DNA test that they freely offer at the hospital post birth??

This is why I’m glad some hospitals have already started implementing that “fathers” are not allowed to sign birth certificates without paternity proof unless the couple is married.

She said that the state opened up the child support case but she had to give his name for them to open up the case. They don’t just pull a name out of thin air.

The defendant has some serious trauma to unpack. Only a good therapist can help her to heal. She has a lot of misplaced anger, animosity and resentment towards the plaintiff. But, I doubt she told the plaintiff that he wasn't the father. I'm sure she told him that he was the father because in her 15/16 year old mind that was a lot easier to accept. The plaintiff certainly deserves a lot more money than what was awarded here.

She knew he would be put on child support when she applied for government assistance. She definitely chose to do nothing when he got arrested for child support for a child she knew was not even his.
I find it very interesting how so many women decry dead beat dad's, yet frequently let those men off Scott free and willingly allow men who are not the father's to get charged child support and arrested instead. Then throw up hands and say "not my fault, not my problem"

It’s not. I am a paralegal at a law firm that practices Family Law in North Carolina. The most the court can do for you in this situation is stop the child support payments from coming out of your check.

If his name is on the birth certificate then she just can’t say he’s not the dad. Paternity has been established at that point. It’s not a simple fix once the birth certificate has been signed. That is a legal binding document of who birthed the child and who is responsible for the child.
That would have cancelled her benefits. She could have got them back but was eas going to be a long process

By the bio father being held accountable I meant as in jail time(if possible depending on statue of limitations), child support and no visitation. But he signed to agree to pay CS. What man agrees and signs to pay if he knew he wasn’t the father?
There's absolutely no proof that he knew the child wasn't his and chose to sign the birth certificate anyway.
But we do know she is a liar who later tried to sue him for emotional distress caused by her own admitted lie to her child about the true father.
I guarantee you, if that man knew before he signed the birth certificate that he was not the father and he signed anyway, there would be some proof, like text message conversations between he and her that would corroborate it in some way.
It's not uncommon for women to commit paternity fraud like this. There are countless married men who never knew their wives cheated on them, unprotected sex, and found out decades later through happenstance that 1 or more of the children they raised are not biologically theirs.
Of course you would take the woman side no matter what, evil broads stick together like glue, you probably doing the same thing she does, got some guy taking care of a kid that's not his.

I think she's lying about the rape. At no point was a criminal case mentioned against the perpetrator, who should also be the one she filed for child support against.
Years ago I had a girlfriend break up with me via txt msg. About 1 year later, she called me from a new number, and claimed she got raped by a guy she started dating after me. All to try to get sympathy to see if I would take her back. Women will use the rape claim on a new man to instantly gain sympathy no questions asked. If they say they haven't reported it to police and have a case number, you should be very wary.
If that’s not his child then why is he involved with child support system? The only way child support reached out to him is because the mother told child support that he was the father. They ask the mother before they go after the father.

The state will fille child support when you apply for government assistance. She could have told them that she didn't know who the father was but he signed the birth certificate so he was responsible for the child.
