man, i've really missed the "couple of friends just playing games" genre of Let's Play. doesn't even feel like they're making content, it just feels like we're on the couch with them watching them play games

I enjoyed Eric on the podcasts but seeing him getting excited and joyful as he watches/plays games with the gang is my favourite part of this channel. He's got such a full on enthusiastic energy which is a joy to watch and listen to.

The twitch streamers I normally watch are like 30 year old men with families who bring that specific dad vibe and I'm glad Geoff slots comfortably in as the 50 year old man with a family. He really says absurd shit and I'm here for it.
Gotta say, the reason I don't watch streamers is because of the constant groveling thanks for subs and donations. It annoys the heck out of me, so as an Extra Medium, I'm more than happy for them to keep their thanks brief and generalized. Keeps the stream flowing like a let's play, which is why we pay to watch 'em.

It makes sense that they can’t read the messages and donations on the VOD, but maybe they could take a page out of the VTuber book. A lot of them will have a separate stream after the content one just for thanking subs and donation and reading out those messages. It encourages larger donations and longer messages to be read out and feels more personal because it’s not in between playing games.
