    I bought a new one in 2018. I like it a lot better than my Prairie 700 or my brute 650 SRA. I’m thinking of buying a second one because I think they going to discontinue them soon. 2022 is still the same.

    Good review. I wish I bought one of these. Being a old sport quad guy I'm used to riding something I can control with my weight. I ended up buying a Polaris Sportsman and feel like I'm riding on a battleship. I feel like I'm just along for the ride and if it gets in a bad spot and gets " tippy" its just gonna go because its so big and heavy I could never counter it with my weight ect. Brute feels more like a sport quad with its smaller size and you at least have some body control over it. Plus that instant throttle response is like a sport quad as well. Big mistake I made buying a Sportsman. I admit I'm kinda afraid of it simply because of its " battleship" feeling and the fact I cant use my weight or body to counter any tipping, hillsides, etc. If she decides to go its gonna go. I wont climb things or take it places I used to ride a 400ex on simply because I have no control over what its gonna do if things get hairy. Its a whole new learning experience conquering things on a freakin battleship when you been riding sports all your life.

    • @stephensmith745
      @stephensmith745 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JohnnyRebKy You said it right! The Sportsman and Brute are different like night and day. There is well over 100 pounds difference between the two. Unfortunately you can’t really test drive these things like cars so I would tell anyone to try and find a friends bike to test out before making a decision.

    • @JohnnyRebKy
      @JohnnyRebKy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats true. If I was able to test ride I never would have bought the sportsman simply because of all the clanky noises it makes. It pops and clangs when on and off the throttle and Polaris says oh its perfectly normal. Its got a lot of play and slop in the drivetrain and I don't call that normal...I call it sloppy engineering. So not only night and day difference in the way they ride....which is a matter of taste.....but the build quality isn't even close. Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha have got everyone SPANKED when it comes to quality. May not offer the biggest engines and most horsepower but if you cant get it done with 750cc you might as well go home and give up. I grew up when 300's was about all there was to ride and it never stopped us from conquering the trails and ripping up steep hills. All that HP is great for ripping through the mud but mountain climbs and technical trail riding is what separates the men from the boys. In those situations you better check your engine size ego at the door and have some riding skills or your gonna end up hurt. That being said I'm humble enough to admit I'm just not a pro at riding a Godzilla size ATV up and down do or die trails LOL. The smaller brute would have been a much better choice for my sport quad background and years of experience riding small nimble machines in nasty situations. Riding " Godzilla" you might as well forget leaning over to one side to counter weight a steep angle.....gravity is going to win. Some guys can ride the hell out of them though so perhaps I just need more time to adapt and gain experience and confidence with something polar opposite from what my brain is wired to do.

      chico suave I have a 2012 brute 750 and it rides smooth over everything . My only complaints are the front shocks bottom out if you get too much air and it's slightly tippy if you don't shift your weight a little. It will slide nice around corners though. Other than that i have put 1000 miles on mine beating the holy shit out of it the entire time and nothing has gone wrong with it yet. I am super impressed with the beating this machine can take. It begs for throttle the entire time you ride it and it has full throttle response at all times. It moves and it's very predictable while riding. It's so easy very and smooth to ride.

    • @codycrabtree3684

      O2 sensor is about the only difference so you can order an exhaust for the older model and just add the O2 sensors to it which would only cause 10 bucks maybe 15 if you done it yourself if there's a price difference between the two models for exhaust
