I would think most of the houses we see here are of recent construction. Ronne was heavily bombed by the Soviets in 1945 for two days. I'm surprised that the church was not targeted.

Correct - there are some lovely older buildings that survived the bombing though

Beautiful little town! Are Swedes welcome to Bornholm today? We weren't given the warmest reception when we visited in the late 1650's.

Ha ha true, the island has been both Swedish & Danish historically! Yes these days Swedes are always welcome! Although of course we currently have restrictions
