to test panel u need a power cord and wire to main power thing and u need batteries and resisters so it doesn't go in to trouble and this collection is huge since last upload
Cool fact. I live in the town simplex were made. If you look on the back of most of your simplex alarms. It will say made in Gardner Ma. Or made in Simplex time Recordings Gardner Ma. Thats where I live is in Gardner Ma. I want to see if I can get myself into the building when I’m a little bit older. The only issue is getting in there with permission. I want to try to get some very rare alarms in there if they still have them.
That first gen classic horn strobe you have is not the actual first gen… the first gen goes straight to code 3 and the strobe lens is also smooth as well…
I have a vacuum tube type smoke detector. It is an Edwards S-125A. I can find no information whatsoever. It works great. Google is stumped. I want to know all about it. It was manufactured in 1965.

0:50 you can set it to continuous if you cut a jumper but unfortunately it’s permanently set to continuous

that’s a lot of rare alarms, also, how do you tell if it’s 2nd gen or 3rd gen? i know the 1st gen has a screw on it but the others look the same to me
