  • In this cool up close action video you can see the Northern Venture making the 180 degree turn in the 6th Street Turning Basin. Below is more info of their visit.
    - I don’t have the specific times like I usually do because I forgot to write it down and can not remember -
The Venture loaded stone at Meldrum Bay ON April 30th and departed with a destination of Saginaw. This would be the first of 3 visits in May. The first dock they called on was Ace Paving in Buena Vista MI to unload their cargo. After unloading they went up to the basin and spun around aimed north to depart.
This is the first video of 2 parts from this visit, the second one being filmed at Zillwuakee River Front Park. Stay tuned for it!
Song used throughout the video is “Aether” by Darren King

WOW, That self un-loader structure on the bow, sure looks like the absolutely worst place to put it? How in the world does the bridge see anything??

It does seem like it would be in the way but from people I talk to it isn’t that bad, they have cameras on the front of it so they can see.

@@GreatLakesStateProductions6708 That's great as long as the cameras work.

@@audreyjohnson4599 yeah lol, they can still see to drive perfectly fine but the cameras are just for seeing what’s infront of the bow, which is fault proof because there should be a watchman there anyway in tight areas.
