I’m really happy after 3 years! You delivered on your goal! I remember the first tour I met you and you where doing the journey for your dad. This power tour was epic in so many ways for us… thanks for letting me roll with you!
It was a great feeling finally getting to do the tour in the Camaro. I'm so happy you two came over and hung out with this degenerate. You are definitely part of the Maryville Long Haul Group. Even if you live 3000 miles away.
I'm a day late watching. It's so cool you finally did Power Tour!! Glad that noise was a fairly minor issue. Those sudden noises are definitely enough to make a guys heart flip flop.
Well welcome to the channel! I have a soft spot for the GM "off brand cars". I'm a big Pontiac fan but can easily fall in love with Buick and Oldsmobile. Hopefully I'll see you two on the tour next year. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video brother. Hope you enjoyed yourselves. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT
Great job! You should be proud of the work you've done. As Dan at DDSS says there is nothing more important for Power Tour then a really good cooling system. Figure out what you need and then get more. People helping people is what it's all about. Now you just need a reverse gear!! Congrats on 2K subs. Just noticed that. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
Wow my friend what a long way you have come with your Camaro. I been following way before you baught it. Glad you went in power tour and lived the experience since that’s what you wanted to do since the beginning. Big shout out to you from Mexico buddy
Good job on the Power Tour. The Vice Grip Garage crew made the entire trip as well. Only Derrick's wife got the plaque though because Derrick ran into issues with his truck and missed a couple stamps. He bought a 66 Ford F100 while on the tour though and finished the trip in that truck. It's crazy to me how big the Power Tour is that you didn't even run into some other big TH-camrs that I know made the trip as well.
My trip was definitely less eventful than his. The number is usually around 6,000 participants. So it is impossible to see everyone. That's one of the parts I like best.
Hi, I’m really enjoying your videos. We live in the same area as you and was wondering who did your exhaust. My son just finished installing an LS into his 1989 iroc and we’re looking for any recommendations on a good exhaust shop. Thank you
It's a kit from Speed Engineering. I had it installed at Broadway Muffler but was disappointed with the results. I ended up redoing the center section after I swapped transmissions and the cross member. I highly recommend the Hocker Blackheart transmission cross member. It gives you extra clearance for the exhaust. Sorry I couldn't help more.
@@ForsakenSteel thank you for the info, I’ll probably do some calling around and see if anyone can do a custom exhaust. If not I’ll probably order the same kit you have. Thanks again
If I could go back I would save my money up and buy a T56. I have almost as much in this as I would have paid for a new T56 considering the rebuild this transmission needs. The gearing in this transmission is great for a high horse power car though. Also the price for a used CD009 has really gone up lately.
@@ForsakenSteel this one I am looking at is 2500.00, new clutch, new aluminum flywheel, shifter, pretty much everything I need but I was worried about the gearing. T56 with everything is 6700.00 so that's why I'm considering this route.
If everything is in good shape you should be set. I'm assuming that it has already been set up for a LS. If not you will need an adapter plate $1000 a LS flywheel and clutch kit about $400 a hybrid clutch disk. Also the stock location does not work. I'm using an Autosport Engineering shifter another $500. Just things to consider before you pull the trigger.
@@ForsakenSteel yes its already adapted and has been behind a ls already, He is including a new GK Teck shifter relocation set up with shifter , clutch & Fly wheel is spec 2 new in package and an new aluminum flywheel. I just dont want to look back and say, man i wished i would have held out for the T56 magnum.
That actually sounds like a really good deal. I had that shifter and ended up not using it because of the transmission tunnel. As far as preference I think you will be happy with that. Good luck and let me know if you do it and how it turns out.

It was a great feeling finally finishing the tour. When I first started hearing the noise I was terrified we had lost the engine.
Thats us at 22:06. Hubby and I have a 1966 Buick Skylark we drove !! Tour was Awesomely Fantastic!!!

It was such a good feeling to finally finish the tour. Thanks for watching buddy.
@@ForsakenSteel Absolutely!! I’ve got to get back on getting my 84 Berly going. Something about time though. Hard to find these days. 🤣

Just missed you this year maybe I'll see you next year glad you made it.
We were like ships in the night I think I passed you twice or maybe three times. I'll keep a lookout for you next year. Thanks for watching.
Congrats on finishing the long haul!
Thanks, it was an amazing feeling.
Great job David you made it and in the future all that is left is fixing reverse and the cooling problem and than burn out time
This car has come so far. Well iron out the details and just enjoy the ride. Thanks for watching and supporting.

Getting ready to buy a cd009 transmission to put behind my 5.3 ls, do you like yours ? Would you do it again over say a T56 ?
