    Great workout, as always. Loved the ab and glute work with the strap on the thighs. Still have issues doing short spine. Any pointers for getting past just your bum being slightly off the carriage?

    • @MelanieLopezPilates
      @MelanieLopezPilates  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much, KA. Good question re: short spine - hard to say for sure without seeing you move, but I’d first look at 1) using the short loops vs. the long loops if you have double loop attachments on your reformer, 2) making sure that your ropes aren’t too long (the straps should just reach the front of the shoulder blocks), and if both of those aren’t a contributing factor, 3) testing out adding a little more spring resistance to help provide more tension as you’re going up (e.g. two heavy or two heavy + 1 light). If that doesn’t do it, there are some alternate exercises that can help in preparation - please let me know how it goes

    • @KA0514
      @KA0514 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MelanieLopezPilates Thanks Melanie. Double loop straps are all good. I’ll play around with the springs and let you know how it goes. I’ve had to do that before in classes with certain exercises.

    • @MelanieLopezPilates
      @MelanieLopezPilates  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hope it helps! The shorter straps should be better if you’re switching that up.

    • @KA0514
      @KA0514 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MelanieLopezPilates Wow! Great advice. It helped so much. I’ve been using the long loop so tried the short and had to move up to two heavy springs but it worked! This is the first time I’ve been able to do it.❤
      Previously at Club Pilates for over a year, doing 1.5 and 2 level classes and I still couldn’t get there. Awesome advice makes all the difference.

    Hi Melanie……I love your Pilates site! I try different ones every morning. There was one with Rebecca wearing all turquoise top and bottom that was some standing, arm exercises that I really liked but can no longer find it. Where did it go? Wasn’t the one starting with the ballet footwork. Does that still exist? I loved the variation of that particular session. On the title I remember it said standing but can’t remember the rest.

    • @MelanieLopezPilates
      @MelanieLopezPilates  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your kind words, Zenaida! Could you be thinking of this one? I don’t recall a standing one that we did with Rebekah in the turquoise outfit, but the series that you’re describing makes me think that you’re remembering this workout. I love your videos. And you have a nice range of exercises keeping it fresh from other Pilates instructor’s videos. My only critique is that you transition too fast when you speed up the videos, not allowing me to easily transition with you. Causing me to have to get out of the flow to back the video up so I can stay with you. Otherwise I love some of your exercises in this one, they get that deep space in my shoulders and and AB’s that I don’t always reach.
