Actually the gag of using the gull-wing door to scare the farmer family into thinking it was a flying saucer was part of the reason for using the DeLorean too.
I love the clips with people taking pictures of the time machine at my university (4:57).

The DeLorean was not take for BTTF4 as both Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis have stated over and over going back to 1990 that there would never be a PT4. The DeLorean was taken off the back-lot to be restored and put in a glass case on the BTTF exhibit.
Ok,the recreation of the BTTF commercial at the beginning almost made me cry,it was damn near perfect and brought back memories for me.and of course,the DeLorean was awesome as well. :-)
i wouldn't say it was the best movie ever made but it is one of the all time greats made ,,we do have lots of great movies and back to the future is one of my all time favorites ..it never gets old to me
I will always remember the Back to the Future Ride forever, it was a fun ride.

Its incredible that the film used a Delorean car which in real life failed and didn't sell. However has lived on as an iconic movie car because of the mega successful Back To The Future film series.
DeLoreans actually sold really well new. Supposedly they outsold Mercedes and Jaguar.
Ramblin_DMC I don't think so, otherwise John Delorean wouldn't have closed down his company and stopped production of the Delorean cars.
However as i've stated beforehand. The BTTF film series success has now finally kicked started the Deloreans return. They'll be built in both Ireland and in the United States!
+MGSBigBoss77 at that time, nobody was really selling cars. Jag and Mercedes were bigger and could hold out until the market improved. plus they didn't have GM at their throat. DeLoreans were built new in Northern Ireland. now they'll be made/restored in Humble, Texas. (I've owned a 1981 DeLorean since last May.)

Maybe not THE best (because I don't have a favorite), but it's defiantly up there.

The Delorean was originally built in Belfast, Ireland back in 1981

Best movie? There's 3, and they are all good. 2nd best trilogy for sure. I'd have to give Lord of the Rings the best trilogy however. :)

That was one part of this I found hard to believe, es[ecially since I've been to universal a few years ago and the BTTF cars are still on the tram tour and look like they were dumped there 25 years ago witrh no restoration work visible and Bob Gale has also ruled out part 4 it out completly. Saying all that the year he mentioned was around the Time MJF got Parkinsons so it might have been a different car and the idea might have been shelved with Michaels diagnosis. He should show some evidence
