    Did this car completely do away with the side turn indicator, either on the side panel or bottom of side mirrors?

    Thanks for the review man. U did a pretty good review....thanks for keeping the "exhaust note revving" portion brief, unlike other reviewers. :b
    Did it have the panoramic rear view mirror? Did u like it? How tall are u...that'd help to know how roomy the back seat is. And I have a request...can u try to show lighting at night or in a parkade? I'd love to see how the dash, exterior lighting and lighted door handles look at night and that would set u apart from other reviewers as I don't often see that done. Thanks man

      +rod22lt I appreciate your support! This one did not have the back up camera in the mirror, but I will do a review of a CT6 with that option. I liked the car a lot, but you really have to go see the car in person to experience it. Before seeing this car, I thought around $60k for it was just overpriced, but once you see the details it's worth every penny in my opinion. I am 5 ft. 10 in. To answer your question about showing at night videos, I'm going to leave that up to my good friend mike from MikesCarInfo. He does flawless night videos. I've tried doing a night video and it really didn't come out too great, need a better camera, haha! Thanks for the questions! And if you are located near CT go see Valenti Caddie, great people there and tell them Tyler from N&T Auto Reviews sent you!

      I thought the Platinum model had all the options available You have to flip the lever under the mirror. I drove a loaner and it had it.

    • @BrawndoQC
      @BrawndoQC 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kyle Carroll I'm late but yes he just had to flip the switch on the mirror. I've one, it's standard on the platinum.

    intelli beam headlights ,that means the headlights auto dim from hi to low with oncoming traffic ,GM had this back in the 1950s its nothing new ,it was called "autronic eye" back then, the caddy had it I think in 1953 or so

      +Sheila LaShay Can't shut the stop/start system off

    • @sheilalashay5927
      @sheilalashay5927 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Please say a little more. Is it a problem? Does it make the car lag? Please, I have no experience with such a feature. Also, I'm not a mechanic or a car expert. Thank you.

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Sheila LaShay of course! So, basically what the start/stop system is designed to do is increase your fuel economy in stop and go traffic or at traffic lights. Now, what it does is when you come to a stop light or the car stops for a few seconds, the engine will actually shut off. And when you take your foot off the brake, the car will automatically start back up. The only experience I've had of this system is with the Ford Focus RS, however it's a little different in the fact that the Focus RS has a manual transmission. However it was pretty seamless. I wouldn't have even known that the engine was off if I didn't hear it turn off and start up. My suggestion for you is to go to your local Cadillac dealership and test it out yourself, I have no experience with Cadillac's system. Thanks for the concern, and if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask!

      Thank you so much. Does the air conditioner cut off also? Now I have test driven one, but the dealer, well you know; he's trying to sell me. I always seek out unbiased outside opinions with a new model. Also I've met a couple owners of the XT5. Neither was in love with the shifter. One owner was unhappy. He said his XT5 would not pull off at a green light. The rpms would rev but no go. He has to put it neutral then pull off. That's wrong. He returned it to several dealers and contacted GM and still no resolution. Maybe he just had a lemon? See, I've had 3 CTS in the past. But this time I wanted an SUV. Those two feature made me very hesitant. I think Cadillac has lost me this time cause I don't want a headache. Was thinking about a Lexus RX 350 AWD. Never owned one, just doing my research. I really appreciate your input.

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Sheila LaShay The air conditioning should still be on when the car shuts off. As far as the shifter goes, my philosophy is why change something that worked flawlessly in the past? But I wouldn't let that turn you down from the XT5. It's truly a great car. If you wanted to stay with Cadillac they are coming out with a new, smaller crossover in the near future. As far as the RX 350 goes, I heard no complaints. I could try to get up to my Lexus dealer and do a video of one as soon as I can for you. I'm just not sure how soon that's going to be because you know, it's still the winter time and I'm in New England, so ANYTHING could happen with the weather haha. But absolutely, any questions you have just send them my way. That's why I do these videos, to inform you guys about these cars. It's not easy choosing the right car since there's soooo many options out there.

    All of the wood, leather, and carbon fiber on current and recent cadillacs is real.

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Leatherwood22 That carbon fibre weave looks amazing. Nicer than any wood I've seen in any car so far.

    • @Leatherwood22
      @Leatherwood22 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      N&T Auto Reviews I like too! I also like the matte wood they're using, now if they would improve the column mounted shifter in the Escalade and release the SUV that sits between the Escalade & XT5 (XT5's a bit pricey for it's class) i'll be happy.

    • @tydrives4846

      +Leatherwood22 Yes, an Acadia sized 3 row Cadillac I think would sell quite well.

      +Kayd Herriman before I actually got into this car and saw how nice everything was, such as the genuine carbon fiber trim and the leather, I thought the same thing. If you're interested in this car, definitely go to your Cadillac store and check one out first hand. Thanks!

      N&T Auto Reviews If not will try Mazda CX9 Signature there $52,000 and the same as XT5 actually it's a 7 passenger XT5 isn't and CX9 has more cargo room. XT5 isn't any better than the competition only paying for the Cadillac name. The depreciation is all the same as soon as it's drove off the lot.

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Anthony Macneil I haven't experienced the CX-9 all that much accept for at auto shows, but those two can't really be compared apples to apples.

    • @anthonymacneil2279

      I drove both and see very little difference only the CX9 has more get up and go and rides and handles a bit better.
