Right because only the SEC payed its players lol. When I was at FSU Peter Warick had a fully loaded Lincoln Navigator and that was before Cadillac released the Escalade, so the Navigator was in a class by itself. You gonna tell me we didn’t pay that man? lol
I like what Freeman is doing in recruiting, especially on D. They are targeting athletic, fast athletes with length … not just “highly rated” prospects. We’ve seen several guys who came in a LBs (Burnham, Tuihalamaka) fill the void with injury losses to ND’s top rush end players (Botehlo, Traore). And we’ve seen situational LBs like Sneed and KVA who excel with quickness without being full time starters. It has helped ND continue to do well on D despite all of the injuries that could have really debilitated them. Add in the amazing eye for DB talent that Mickens seems to have, and ND just keeps on getting it done on D. Kind of amazing. I also love the way ND has used the portal. They take many fewer players from the portal than some schools, but it has been so successful and strategic. Leonard is obvious. But looking at the Sugar Bowl win, so many portal guys made huge plays (some of whom hadn’t previously). Harrison. Oben. Heard. Clark. Collins. Jeter. I feel like Freeman really has figured out modern college football. Recruit athletes that FIT, even when you can’t get the elusive 5* players, and then selectively use the portal to fill in gaps. He’s doing things right. ND is lucky to have him.
The second half of this season, Sneed has been amazing! He is EVERYWHERE on that field! Also, he may be the fastest of the Front 7. It's either him, Ausberry, or Bowen. They are all fast, and they all hit hard!
I’m only here for Kenton Gibbs. Big ups to him! I love when he’s on Lucky Lefty Podcast. Very honest with his fandom and those shows with Shawn and Malik are fire. 🔥
Kenton, I saw you on Lucky and Lefty podcast. I was like: who is this guy? Anyway, I looked up your background and learned of your childhood dream in sports media. I am impressed by your knowledge and ability to keep things funny and entertaining. Keep up the good work, and good things will continue to happen for you.
Happy New Year, fellas. Man howabout them Cards, They Beat Washington in the Sun Bowl, and then turnaround and hammered UNC, and at halftime introduced the #1 point guard commitment in the nation to the fans, roaring ovations, then tomorrow at 4:00 pm on your local Cardinal channel we'll put the boot to Virginia and that'll wrap up the single most productive week in the ACC season. Go Cards!! P.S. ya'll do know other things are happening other than these crappy football games, ya her
If ND gets to the national championship game, they’ll have played 16 GAMES. That’s the same number of games we did to win our state championship. THE CFP PLAYOFF WAS THE NATIONAL SEMIFINALS. ND has been in the national semifinals before this season. But it’ll be their 16th game instead of their 14th. The playoffs just added two more games.

No conference champions in final four…is this what we wanted? This is what we meant by saying it devalues the regular season. I prefer the 4 team vs this 12 team tournament. I would’ve put ND in the final 4. Ohio State would’ve been out after losing to Michigan. Penn State would’ve been on the bubble after losing to Oregon. Texas and Georgia would have been the 3rd and 4th team. I might have FSUed UGA after Beck got hurt. If I did, I would have put PSU in over Indiana and Ohio State.
remember when georgia lost the sec to bama but won the natty in a four team playoff? Do you think the 4 team playoff where every team was in the top 5 devalued the regular season too?
Yes, this is exactly what i wanted! A real playoff instead of that nonsense NCAA division 1 football had before 2024. In 2025, for the first time in division 1 NCAA Football's history, a legitimate champion will be crowned just like every other sport. Every champion that's crowned from 2025 and after will mean more than the 4 team playoff, the BCS era, and that nonsense when they voted for who was the champion before the BCS.
@@nationalchampionsor, every year after 2023 the regular season games will be 50% less important. We have traded 1,608 meaningful games (134x12) for 11 very meaningful games. I DO NOT LIKE IT.

Notre Dame Coach Freeman is a good strategic planner.
It’s hard to dominate the other conferences and even the private schools when you’re not the only one paying players anymore.
Right because only the SEC payed its players lol. When I was at FSU Peter Warick had a fully loaded Lincoln Navigator and that was before Cadillac released the Escalade, so the Navigator was in a class by itself. You gonna tell me we didn’t pay that man? lol

The SEC is 6-0 vs the Big12 and ACC. There are two major conferences and the Group of Seven in FBS.
