Rescued by Righteous Among the Nations: Henia Helper's story

Henia Helper was born in 1914 in Zahajpol . (Stanislawow District). After the German occupation, their hired help, Vasiuta Wegrzynowska hid Henia, her husband and her little daughter. The Jewish family survived, but Wegrzynowska and her children were killed after liberation by nationalist Ukrainians for having hidden Jews.
