  • When the Germans occupied Latvia, Grigory Arensburg born 1922, was living in Riga. The local inhabitants' attitude changed immediate and the Jews suffered abuse and humiliation. From September 1941 Arensburg was incarcerated in the Riga ghetto. The sole survivor of his family, he was saved by Righteous Among the Nations Janis Lipke -- a simple dockworker -- who was saved more than 40 Jewish men, women and children in Riga and the vicinity.

I hope here's another part where Zanis Lipke got him to country house and he survived the war. I've read his memories, just dont now if there's also some footage left in Yad Vashem about that part of his life.
