I just locked 2 weeks ago. I have no intent on having dry Locs. My healthy loose natural hair flourished using Aussie products and I will continue to use them. I may water down my conditioner and use it less but I refuse not to condition. Most people I see who rave about water and oil only have the driest Locs. Thank you for “doing you” and ignoring the natural hair community and doing what’s best for your hair!
Thank you! Yes this is what I do on my wash days when I want to implement more moisture into my locs. Some days I only shampoo and follow up with my sprays/oil.
Hi! I just started my diy microlocs 2 days ago, and some of the videos I have seen advise against conditioning, especially on the scalp/close to the root. My hair is typically pretty dry so I am a bit worried about that. Have you noticed that using conditioner has affected the progression of your locs in any way (how long it took them to loc or causing buildup)? Did you use conditioner in your beginning stage or is that something you started once they were more mature?
So I didn’t use conditioner starting off. I just washed my hair and then I followed up with oils and leave in conditioners spray. However I did start using co washes and conditioner when I was like 4 months in because they were in there at that point. And that was just a preference thing because I still wanted my hair to feel soft especially since my hair is colored. I don’t feel like it has hindered my process fr. You just have to assure you wash it all out so you don’t get build up.

Yeesss this described it best! Thank you ❤️
I glad I am not the only one who shampoo & condition their locs I don’t want no bone dry locs
Lmaoo facts!!! Like I want my hair conditioned and moisturized!
This is a process that I would probably have used as a loose natural. I do much less now that I have locs. Great video.

Subbed and liked! Hope you're staying safe.
Thank you!! Stay safe as well!!
Is this shampoo and conditioner good on newly colored locs?, have you noticed any fading doing this routine?
I would probably get a color safe shampoo. The color seen in this video was a rinse so there was some slight fading with every wash
Hello when did you stop braiding or banging your hair during shampooing
Yes I stopped
