Thank you @Andrew_stars , the excitement knowing we finally had found a good school and about to catch some , mixed with hurry up and get your bait on the water came out of me . 🤘😎🤘 thank you for watching and hope to see you out there sometime. 🎣🐟🤙
@Tony67032 , Thank you , seems that I luck out on the trips I get on. I don't normally watch fish counts ,instead plan them in advance ,sometimes months in advance. I'll take your recommendation on my next trip to talk about what I'm taking and line weight etc. This trip my Tuna was caught on The Cooks Rod with a Penn Squal single speed reel and loaded with floro . My Brother caught his 30lb Tuna on a Daiwa Seagate 20 loaded with 50lb braid and 30lb Floro Leader. Buddy Chris caught his Dorado and 30lb Tuna on a Penn Battle 2 5000 Spinner with 50lb braid and 40lb floro leader . Hooks were very small to match the bait . Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there sometime . 🎣 🐟
when ya take that trip that was my birthday but wish I couldof been there to show yall my skills in fishing ,because I've fish 38 yes on water and fished 3 oceans , and now I live in western Kentucky and fish the lake , but I miss the salt water fishing so bad , and this is the only way I can watch yall and comment on yalls fishing , witch yall did great and the kids did a fantastic job to , 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Coming from my experience, with the little baits it’s best to fish a long top shot of light mono vs the straight braid. Similarly to fishing a jig stick, the mono likes to “jump” off the spool a bit easier than the braid, and because backlashes are much easier to untangle you live free of that fear almost entirely. That little torium and Californian with a 60-75 yard top shot of 30# mono may make that difference, or it may not because again this is just an opinion
@nebmalie2138 Im always open for info to better my fishing game , I feel your right about the mono feeding off easier , Dave the cook , handed me off a fish on his rod and he definitly had mono or straight floro period and got bit at least 3 times . My problem is i hate reeling through the knots and the thought of anbother chance at failiure since there is now 2 knots instead of one . I have had setups this way and ended up removing the mono . Thank you very much for the recomendation , hope to see you out there sometime . 🎣
@besivongxay Yes it is , I wanted a rod that matched a Avet 2 speed i picked up fro SD Tackle Traders . The Mad Katz line is pretrty awesome with their color options and weight ratings. This rod is the Smash 10-50lb and i like it alot , This was its 1st tuna trip and i failed to hook up .Im running 50lb braid and 40lb floro leader this trip . I have had it out on the Artina my own boat and i liked the sensitive tips with a strong Back bone . Check out the video to see it better in action . Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there sometime . 🎣
