    Thumbs down on your review because you spent way too much time complaining about the fuel economy. Mention it and talk about it for a few seconds, and then move on. For people like myself who want good tow capability and good cargo space, this suv is a very good option. I'm a current owner of a 2015 Tahoe and I'm really leaning towards trading due to the issues with the cylinder deactivation of the GM V8 engines, the improved towing capability of the Armada, and because I think the Armada Platinum's interior is way nicer than what GM currently offers. And the new Expedition's are simply overpriced. Can get a loaded Armada for $10k (or more) less than the new Expedition.

      Zach L Definitely agree with you, but the sad fact is that most people who buy these never tow, haul, or go offroad.

    I like how this armada looks,the interior looks very plush and high quality,as far as the infotainment system I heard nissan is giving the 8 inch infotainment system in the nissan Maxima the apple carplay ,and then the rogue as well so maybe *(hopefully soon*) down the line they'll give the armada the apple carplay and even the android auto ,Nissan just needs to update their infotainment and technology to stay competitve...anyway If I had the money I'd still by this vehicle..

    Heard so much unusual review comments and difference of opinion in this vid, but I guess to each his own.

    Great review! Nissan infotainment system really is a let down considering the price. Even Infiniti offerings are lacking. yet somehow they would rather invest in drive by wire systems. Really dumbfounding

    I kid you not, my 2012 Subaru Forester has a bigger sunroof.

    it's just a rebaged QX80 now, which when it came out had a great interior, but now its getting a bit dated. not good for brand new SUV. when you compare this interior to the Yukon Denali it's a step behind in material quality and features.

    great review Mike. some may think the review may have been a little hard on nissan but you answered all of the questions that i had in ref to this vehicle. Great Looking vehicle and rides smooth. I will be trading in my Equus for this vehicle.

      Thanks, Marcus. Yeah, you've gotta push these manufacturers. We want their best, after all.

    I don't understand why manu's are not adding Apple Carplay/Android Auto. I love this vehicle, but I am just far too used to using AC/AA to go back now.

    nissan plz listen to the man, you guys have got to do better in the infotainment system, at least let it be android auto & carplay capable because as user of it, all i can say is it makes getting around just a little better and easier...

    Great review, Michael! The Nissan Armada was definitely getting long on the tooth. This redesigned model is almost like night and day. The overall styling of the Armada is very rugged and tough looking. It looks like it can conqueror almost any road. I agree with you about the infotainment system, too. It could definitely use a update. Nissan should use the infotainment system from the Maxima, in my opinion. Keep up the great work!

    Great review. I like the occasional "If I'm being honest" bits. Need reviewers to tell it like it is.

      Thanks! I know it can come off as "nit-picky" at times, but I'd rather people know everything, especially considering that I'm likely to pick on things in a week-long test that people might miss in a 10-min test drive.

      @@MikeDPerkins Mike, I really miss your honesty and your “telling it like it is” style, without sugarcoating things and being afraid of pissing off those that supply these test vehicles to you. Thank you so much for your excellent work with Car Gurus!

    We're leaning toward this SUV due to the towing capability, but we had so many problems with our '07 Murano, we're a little hesitant to go with Nissan again.

    • @MikeDPerkins
      @MikeDPerkins 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      How much are you looking to tow? What other vehicles are you considering?

    • @TheBadTrad
      @TheBadTrad 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Perkins We need something that'll tow an 8,000 lb. travel trailer. We're also considering a Ford Expedition. The Armada looks great, but again, we're a little leary of Nissan. Another thing we've noticed is that Nissan says the Armada is "class leading" in terms of towing capacity at 8500 lbs, but Ford claims the Expedition is class leading at a 9200 lbs capacity.

    • @Bimmer_Bob
      @Bimmer_Bob 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 9200 lbs rating is achieved through a heavy duty towing package option.

    • @TheBadTrad
      @TheBadTrad 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bob S Yeah, we've come to find that out. I'd be willing to pay for that option if I like the vehicle overall.

      ChrisB176 Yeah Nissan's reliability rating is supposidly lower than range rover,it's that bad.Same deal with new honda's/subaru's honestly bought a explorer,have more confidence in it than new Japanese cars,never thought I'd say that,but ford has come a long way.

    Great review, But I have question this car for 8 passengers where they will put their bags if it is full of passengers there is no room behind the third row? In my opinion they should think to make it bigger.

    • @MikeDPerkins
      @MikeDPerkins 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Things are definitely a bit tight back there with the third row up. Have you checked out the Sequoia?
