Definitely clean & relube the nose strut! Seen several saying it's stupid bouncy otherwise.
They use glue-grease factory so it wouldn't rust! Tho I've never seen aluminum rust. But I only fly em.

Beautiful looking, but how hardy is it? All those quick disconnects don't look very forgiving if you would do a cartwheel or something worse.....
I mean, no plane is really meant to crash....

Did you figure the lights out yet? I seem to have lost my flash capability. Not sure what I did but I did get the navs to stay on solid but can't seem to get the things that should flash to do so.
I havent tried yet, just been having fun flying. But I need to tinker with it

Well, as you see this is how it comes out of the box.
It comes in 2 boxes, that's just the first, 😂🎉just kidding love it wish it flew on 3s.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t fly on 3s.
Can you tell me the orientation of your Reflex receiver? I see that it’s placed longitudinally, but I’m not sure which end of the Reflex to point forward, or does that matter?
I have it so the end that the wires to the rx, that go into the end of the unit, is facing forward. I wish I could attach a picture here. See my reflex v3 video as it will show better
@@JohnVHRC Thanks, I’ll change mine because I have it installed 180 degrees the other way. I sent email to FMS asking for the proper orientation, but they haven’t responded. I’m nervous to maiden my 182 because of this placement issue, and because I had to reverse the ailerons on my transmitter. Sure looks nice sitting on the bench though!
@@Michael-s2p3p As with anything, double check it before you fly, you can always switch the gyro OFF if something seems wrong, as a gyro is not NEEDED, but make 100% sure everything is going the correct way on the ground and Im sure you will have no problems. Its a very very good flying airplane! Let me know how to help.
@@JohnVHRC I did the maiden today, what a nice plane. No gyro problems at all, the placement appears to be correct, and I really like this plane. 5 stars for sure!

& be extremely careful with THAT esc on 4s!!! EVERY other 40a like that I've owned over the past 5 years, THAT esc WILL get hot, & thermal shutdown 2-3 minutes into a flight! All fms 64mm, & several other versions are well known for their T.S. issues. Great on 3s. Sketchy on 4s.
Two flights of wringing it out, zero issues, and thats using alot of wot
