    Very cool. My current one uses a perimeter wire and its a pain to fix when it breaks

      Yeah, thats exactly what I wanted to avoid and with this one you dont need any of that. Going on a few weeks with this mower and it definately works very well. I haven't had any issues with it wandering or leaving the the assigned yard area

    I bought a Luba 2 and Orion X7 Plus and tested them side by side this summer 2024. The Luba 2 software is more refined by early September 2024, opposite what I thought I would see. The Luba has a much more robust satellite RTK system. The Orion X7 lost signal more often and easily. I have a plush / thick lawn of Kentucky Bluegrass mowed at 3" in height. The Orion X7 would not mow well leaving uncut blades all over the lawn. I tried all mower speed settings and mow width settings with poor results. The Luba 2 cut much better. I contacted customer support before purchasing the Orion X7 with several questions on the mower's abilities. They basically lied about how close the mower will mow against edging and walls. After collisions with walls, falling off the street curb, customer service told me not to program closer than 6" to any boundary. The Orion leaves strips of un-cut grass between zones. Customer service said that was a known issue. The Orion does turn sharper than the Luba 2. I do not think the Orion X7 is ready for purchase yet. The claim to have a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, but they will not honor that.

    Very cool. I've actually been looking into these as a I have about an acre of land and cutting all of that can be pretty time consuming.
    Can this cut an acre? Any idea if they run sales? With Black Friday around the corner, I might just wait it out.
    Great review Eric. Thank you!

    How long does it take to charge? I have a large yard and my old one charged more than cut

    Does it get stuck in ruts or does it have the strength to pull itself out?

    • @EricReviews
      @EricReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it's a deep rut where it can physically lean forward and partially fall into, then it'll definitely get stuck. However for anything smaller where the wheel isnt completely inside, it'll roll right over it no problem.

    Lol, looks like an awesome little car. Like you said, definitely very strange to be cutting grass at night.
    Looks like a great thing to have but really too rich for my blood. I'll have to stick to cutting grass myself like a normal peasant, lol

      Completely understandable! In a year or two, I'm almost positive there would be a lot of sub 1000 models out there

    Have you tried the Luba? Im actually shopping for a robot and am torn between this or Luba

    • @EricReviews
      @EricReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately I have not tried the Luba and this is the only robot mower I've used so far. It's been a few weeks with it so far, and so far so good! If you have any questions at all, just let me know!

      As an engineer, I'd definitely get the X7. 1) Luba is much heavier than the X7 and must use power to move that mass. Seems trivial, but over time that adds up. 2) Luba knocks down more grass and rolls over before cutting. X7 has narrower wheels up front knocking down less grass. Blades only cut what reaches them, so better to have the grass standing up. 3) Luba has four wheels making turns awkward. Luba 2 is improved but still awkward. Not good for lots of turning and obstacles. X7 has three powered wheels making turns a breeze. Less time is spent turning and going around things.
      Two advantages of the Luba are 1) eight cutting blades versus the six for the X7. 2) App has been out there more and has more features.

    Soon we will have little robots that protect our houses instead of guard dogs, lol

    Way too expensive but like most things, im sure these would be sub 1500 in a few years

    • @EricReviews
      @EricReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, im almost sure that'll happen as well. These have been around for years, but now I feel like the tech is barely catching up and making these a lot more useful and easier to use.

    I think it s cheaper to hire a landscaper. You won t recoup costs until many years later

    So far everyone seems to rank this one as one of the best robot lawn mowers right now

  • @EngrNme
    @EngrNme หลายเดือนก่อน

    I would suggest not buying this mower until they work out all of the bugs. Right now, it leaves a row of uncut grass between zones. It leaves over a 6" gap between the mower and the edging or home walls. It loses satellite signals constantly.
