Informative video, and a nice workaround. As others have said, it's a shame Microsoft hasn't enabled meetings in private channels from the start. I'm looking at the option to use "Shared" channels instead. From what I'm reading they are "essentially private" since you must be a member to see them AND I can schedule meetings on the channel.
awesome Frank! I still don't like Teams as much, but I do like how it is in the calendar as you showed. I just don't use that calendar for anything else or it would be way more handy!
What is your favourite Learning Management System? I know a lot of people like D2L/Blackboard. They do have a lot of integration because of some open protocols - that might be a good video in the future - although pretty specialized 😊
Thanks a lot for this WA. appriacted. How come microsoft is not thinking in this direction to solve this problem. What is MS agenda or recommended best practices for this problems?
Another bug that MS should resolve: Joining a meeting using outlook or teams calendar "Join" button which automaticaly appear on schedule should be no different from using the "Join Microsoft Meeting" invite link. Now I have paricipants landing in different places since some will click the outlook calendar join and some others will click the invite link. What stupidity!
It amazes me that Microsoft misses such basic user needs. They really don't deserve their success. The same applies to Amazon's awful interface. Any other business with that much info and complex routes to resolve issues would have folded. Anyway, sorry for the rant. I actually wanted to thank you for your tip. So, thanks.
2 years later and this video is still very relevant. Shame on MS. Thanks Frank.
This is exactly what I was aiming to do!! Such a hassle that MS teams requires us to perform such a workaround ... Thanks a lot Frank

PLEASE POST any update to this here! 🙏
It has been now more than two years and this feature would be still so relevant. 😢

Thank you, I do not have the option to insert the name of the meeting. It appears for a milli second and than its gone. Any idea why? thank you
The fact that this feature isn't available is truly disgusting, and your video is a year old.
Thanks a lot for this WA. appriacted.

Great idea!!
Could you just create a plain meeting and copy paste the link in it and then the Join button will not be there to distrct people.

10 months later, still not a part of the features of Teams.

I think now you just add members to private channels
2024 and this is still the solution of Microsoft - such a shame -.-
