This gives me an idea... top 10 side characters in movies! Ya know, like Dak in Empire Strikes Back. Every time he speaks his first line, "Feeling alright, sir?" I think it's C3P0 at first. Then Luke responds, "Just like new, Dak, how bout you?" and Dak's response is just awesome. I won't spoil it here. Plus, the guy sits BACKWARDS in the speeder, what kind of ridiculousness even is that? I know he has to fire the tow cable and all, but it still looks silly.

I went back and watched all the old PBG videos. It's astounding how much better the new ones are than the old ones. 2012 in particular seemed like a huge turning point in quality for this channel.

i don't know. i think the best quests in the three latest elder scrolls are all in oblivion. mostly in the dark brotherhood.
what morrowind had more was scale (well maybe not physical world scale). there was more of everything.
I disagree, i thought the faction quests for Skyrim were better and more fleshed out then from Oblivion
I love this very much. It reminds me of a simpler time, back when I was eight and the only thing I was thinking of was nintendo games. This was my favourite video back then. Better times.
Whodunit? is probably my favorite quest in any Elder Scrolls game. Always good to see it getting some love.

Yeah, it's a great game! It's not all that common that I get a real emotional reaction from a game, but I did with The Walking Dead.

That's because Hudson Soft (the people that made the Bomberman games) were bought out by Konami and they don't make games anymore sadly. I still miss Bomberman/Hudson Soft games :(

I know but Konami could do something with the little guy. Even if its porting the older games to the Virtual Console or making new online download games for current gen.
laprasking Konami pretty much just does yugioh now, sadly.

They've been supporting the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Consoles fairly well, even bringing the PC Engine games themselves to the Japanese VC, but yet no Bomberman games. Even Capcom rereleased the MegaMan games on both VCs.
One of my favorite sidequests is the "devils arms" quest from tales of symphonia. The boss at the end of it is sooo fun, and the hardest boss in the game.
The Clementine computer backgrounds though :) I am totally in love with the walking dead telltale game. I can't wait for Season 3. CLEMY CLUE IS ALL GROWN UP!!!!

Rune factory 5 just got confirmed and 4 is getting a switch port
Pretty late at this point but. Rune factory Tides of Destiny for the PS3 or WII is really really good. It focuses a lot on the adventuring and the combat is fleshed out, And it is actually a story requirement to befriend all bachelors and bachelorettes (If you want the true end of the game)

I really like a lot of the side quests you get in Xenoblade Chronicles. Not only do they offer cool and sometimes really rare items at the end, but they help you level up faster and get Arts quicker, instead of tediously grinding.

6:45 When your friend gives you cookie
There is an old school German game made with RPG Maker called "Unterwegs in Düsterburg" which had really incredible side quests that almost always had an impact on the main story in some way. The third chapter was infamous for it. Basically, your goal of the chapter was to find a way to reach the castle and crash the bad guy's party. The path to the castle was right in front of you from the start, but it was heavily guarded, so you'd have to find a way to get past the monsters. There were in fact several different ways to achieve that, mostly unlocked by doing sidequests in the area.
My favourite one was trying to get help from a friendly count living nearby, only to get involved in some crazy horror story, demon-summoning shenanigans. And even that sidequests had several different outcomes, depending on what hiding place you suggested to the people trapped in the castle or what course of action you decided on with the rebels. Also, not doing this side quest or failing it in some way also alters some events at the bad guy's party!
Another solution is more obscure, and you'd have to fail another side quest mid-way at a very specific spot in order to get turned into rabbits and sneak past the guards. Nets you ton of EXP too, but as mentioned before, extremely obscure.
I mean, you see these kinds of multi-layered side quests in modern games like Skyrim or Fallout, so I'm really impressed the creators of this game managed to pull it off with RPG Maker!

I didnt like it. Played BL1, it was good, had all the DLC, you know, good game. I didnt think it was amaaaazing, but, good. BL2, couldnt finish it. I dont remember where I stopped but, it just always felt sooooo much grindier. In BL1, I alwwaayyss had, at worst, decent guns. In BL2, I quite often found myself with shit guns, RARELY with one that kicked ass. Maybe gun generation was just too random and I got the short end of the stick but, it sucked for me.

it's really fun as long as you have people (or at least 1 person) to play with, otherwise it's not all that great imo
Kakunapod You *have* to be kidding. Look, I've played both BL1 and 2 and 1 is hands down the grindiest. I mean it's nigh impossible to solo the Underdome if you don't grind your ass up to level 50 or more (which is about 12-14 more levels than the enemies you fight). And the guns that you find in 2 are generally better unless you run through everything whiout looting anything. Which is really dumb as one of the most important parts of Borderlands is looting.

As much as it pains me to say it, one of my favorite sidequests is actually from Paper Mario Sticker Star. There's a Toad you save toward the beginning of the game who repays you by giving you a "special reward ;)" in his basement... turns out he runs a sticker museum, which works kinda like the animal crossing museum. The only fun thing about that pos game haha

There's some pretty cool sidequests in the Dark Souls series, specifically the one involving Siegmeyer of Catarina in the first game. I forget what exactly happens, but it ends with you getting something real good I bet

In terms of my favorite side quest, I'd say my favorite is either the Red Polled Orb side quest chain from Xenoblade Chronicles, or the Romani Ranch side quests from Majora's Mask.

***** I also love PBG's videos and I've also watched each of them multiple times (i must've watched some of them maybe 20 times), but I don't think it's fair to complain about him taking time to upload stuff. Recently, for the past year or two, he has been very consistent in his uploads (one or two each month) and the videos are always of top notch quality. And I also think he's happier spending more time on each video than putting out content more often, if his tumblr answers are anything to go by.
