It is impressive to see how the elements of our new spine railway are progressing - and how deep the tunnel will be (based upon the depth of the eastern (concrete) portal. I look forward to walking along the re-instated Kenilworth Greenway in 2029 - 50 years after I walked along the then-recently-dismantled old rail line, with my then-girlfriend and dog, in 1979.
HS2 is an environmental disaster of epic proportions & Britain's biggest infrastructure mistake in half a century. Only now is the corruption within the project coming to light .. truly shameful how they've siphoned off billions of pounds of public money to build a monstrous vanity project that's now been reduced to what amounts to nothing more than a shuttle service between London & Birmingham.

That machine digs the diaphragm walls for the tunnel walls. It´s a pretty long construction process.
