In case anyone was confused, the original release that premièred along with the Vinyl episode just had Alex Newell on vox; the soundtrack version is this one, were it's a duet with Jess Glynne.
That is SOOO funny. I'm a drummer and have been listening to this song over and over again (loved the show too) trying to nail this feel, and I never noticed that. It is kind of freaking me out now that I hear it! I need to listen better!! hahaha. What a GREAT song!!

I decided to watch this on a whim, because I'm in love with Olivia Wilde and I love Bobby Carnivale in his previous works. To those that say that this could be over the top or over exaggerated I can understand you.But the birth of hip hop, the birth of disco and the birth of Punk have me hooked on that story arch. I like how Ritchie who kept hearing these bongo like / smooth mixing of records that caught his attention yet the music style didn't have a name, just as much as Clark discovering this type of dance music and as he adds "an untapped music outlet." Being nostalgic in general, despite me being born in 1990, I was pumped at the discovery and intersection of these discoveries threw that 1973 year! I love this show
I discovered this tv serie some days ago and I had to binge watch it. I'm so sorry that there won't be a season 2! the good thing is that this serie make possible to me to know a lot of songs that I never listened before, being born in the 90's
