wow.. thanks for showing a better path.. refreshed hope and confidence.. understanding the process and costs is half the way to complete this inventors journey.. thank you..
Wish we had this in South Africa. Patents and PPA cost thousands of rands, which I can't afford. I'm going to try contacting companies in the USA as the market for selling products is huge compared to here. Thanks for your informative, helpful videos, much appreciated. 😁 Sandy.
Wow 😮 you’re the best!! Thank you so much!!! But just out of curiosity how much would you charge to do all that for me? Or would a good patent lawyer charge? Thank you sir.
I’m a patent lawyer/agent so I prepare, file and process patent applications for clients. I don’t sell/license inventions for clients. I’m retiring from the profession so I’m not taking on new clients. Each case is unique, but if you’re going to use a patent agent, expect to spend anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000 for a patent, depending on the patent agent/firm and the complexity of the invention. I’m creating an online course for preparing and filing a provisional patent application by yourself- I’ll make an announcement when it’s ready.
Thank you for such an informative video. Question: If I am making 2 versions of a product..one with a metal buckle and one with plastic, does that require 2 separate patents? Thanks
Generally no. You can draft a patent application so that it covers minor variations of your invention. Hence, the patent will cover the same invention even if the parts of the invention are made of different materials. In your case, the patent would ideally specify that the buckle could be made of any suitable material such as metal, plastic, bone, tortoise shell or the like.
my invention you will agree is worth your time I'll take 4% I swear the whole world needs it
Just found your channel today, it's brilliant thanks ever so much.

Sir I have issued patent, what is next please give some direction. Thanks
This is for a PPA or for a full patent?
It’s for a PPA (provisional patent application).
Should I have a corporation while trying to sell or license my provisional patent?
A corporation is used to limit your liability- you don’t necessarily need that to sell or license your invention.
