In college, we had to do a project for computer graphics it could be anything related to German Bauhaus architecture. I wasn't really paying attention and thought he said my house. I spent the next 3 months modelling my house in great detail only to realise my mistake a few hours before the project was due. I threw together a model in about an hour. It looked like this game. I managed to get a C-
as someone who's used the Source Engine in the past, I can personally guarantee that this would take more than 30 minutes LOL

It's funny that dog looks so different in this mod considering the final model is almost identical to its original sketch
10:27 theres actually some kind of weird quirk with Gold Source viewmodels, where the FOV is permanently long or something, so they actually modelled Half Life's weapons to be short, and fan out at the ends so they look normal from the back but are like, ridiculously proportioned. This is most apparent with the HL1 357 and shotgun, where it looks like a cartoon gun with a giant trumpeted barrel from the side, looks fine, big and powerful from the back, but is silly from the side which is also why the animations never point the gun sideways. Its why backwards porting HL2 weapons to HL1 always looks weird.
You can also find this method used on the classic SMOD K98 bolt action rifle, the barrel is ridiculously large but looks fine from the shooter's perspective.
this is because viewmodels in source engine are rendered with a different fov and over everything, thats why it looks weird in this mod

By the way, the DOG thing is a huge joke, because that texture he has is the only thing we have of DOG from the beta, lol.

More specifically, it appears to be a sample from the Tyrolean Music Station, a spy numbers station. Not much is known about it, but it broadcasted in East Germany from the 1960s to 70s.

Parts of this mod make it seem like the creator actually tried at first like the custom weapons and rigged models but then eventually devolved into this masterpiece.

I'm so glad you're playing this! It's an incredibly overlooked half-life 2 beta recreation that actually does a great job showing people what half-life 2 could have been. All the people calling this a joke are rude. This was a very seriously done mod.
This feels like a bad dream, a nightmare re-endition of what HL2 was like, after seeing this video i have a strong urge to replay HL2 just to make sure im not gonnahave terrible nightmares and my awesome HL2 memories will be replaced by HL2 Beta xD
