Virtual piano instruments often lacks depth and fullness (at least compared to their acoustic counterpart) (or maybe it's skill issues tuning things on my end lol), so this piece sounds a lot more gentle and less "grand" than the original with the organ. The original track sounds like it could be playing on a grand stage overlooking the universe, while mine sounds like a variation that you hear when you enter an indoor section of the map or opens the main menu. It's more subdued. I've tried this song (partly) on my upright piano and the resonance from having actual physical parts makes it a little more on par with the original's organ. Still, when you concentrate an mutli-instrument piece into a single one, there's gotta be compromises and changes. & thanks for listening :D
@bloodpraxis I'd LOVE to hear that, if you ever feel like sharing. This version is still good though, and the different nature of the digital piano adds, like you said, a softness to it that is more fitting of smaller, less grand spaces... Like Mechanicus tea shops, or Mechanicus book clubs. 😂
The feeling for this song is different from the original. It is really peaceful. I am very curious what Noosphere would feel played as a piano cover. Thank you for the cover.
Thank you for listening :D I kinda want to try Noosphere on the piano too, but I'm a little intimidated by the track's length (6 whole minutes!). Maybe one of these days lol.
Mechanicus 2 hype! Can't wait to play it hopefully next year.
The first good piano cover of this song I’ve ever found.
I am no fan of organ music, but somehow without the organ the mechanicus soundtrack sounds completely different

Lovely to see someone pull this off with the timbre that it deserves.

Soley on piano the fact that this is mechanicus is so.. uncanny. Like I barely hear it as mechanicus but.. I hear it!
