Yep crane crook for hinging pots to cook on. Clear out your spouting and dig a wee trench with a 4” pipe to take the water away from the down spouts. 2 meters of pipe to a wee soak away and see how dry ur ways become
@@marcusd2380 ah i’m so glad we found the crane crook!! - we have the digger on site this week but we had to re open an old gate way to get it in ! first scrap back shows it’s quite rocky so i’m very glad i’m not digging the trench by hand! thanks for your comment / really appreciate the advice
@@tracybush8115 that’s Phoebe, She likes farming so doesn’t always be with me at the cottage as she goes with my husband and daughter. She is half terrier and half French bull dog, very loyal ❤️
@@RenovatingRockCottage Love her and Pixie. We can't have pets presently as we're in an apartment, so I live vicariously through others, haha. I find it amusing and sweet that so many viewers of the old home renovation channels that I watch enjoy that the pets are included often in the film footage. Everybody loves animals! Oh, by the way, perhaps you'd like to listen to my Christmas song, written/recorded back in 2016, found on TH-cam "Stocking for Two" by Tracy Merle. My husband and I are in Ontario, Canada very near Niagara Falls.
@@tracybush8115 oh thanks for that - i will def look it up - just wait until you meet Ernie and Fergus !! when we get the outhouse cleaned out the goats will be moving in to keep an eye on things and to let my garden at home recover lol they will make short work of the ivy and brambles
I love the alcove idea. It will look stunning all cleaned up with lights in it. Can't wait to see how the cottage turns out

@@RenovatingRockCottage Oh wow, I LOVE goats. Looking forward to it.
Is there only one hinge on the top half of the front door?
@@martinosweeney half door at front and then full door behind with 2 hinges - well from memory - i’ll double check when i’m back :)
@@RenovatingRockCottage I realise now that the half door is at the front, and the full door is at the back, so I can only see one hinge
