    I never really liked the idea of "signature" products coming from the guitar world and had low expectations for this bag but it's perfect. Just a great camera bag that's not trying to do too many things like many camera bags these days. I am also buying a John Mayer Silver Sky so guess I'm a changed man haha! Looking forward to trying the everyday backpack version of this too once it shipped.

      Haha same man. I always seen it as a selling gimmick. But you can tell this bag really was thought out by a modern creative. I feel like these other bag companies jsut refer to their friends, cause I’m always like “why tf did they not add this or that to this bag??”

    I want this bag so bad.. but I already have a shimoda 50l I use for travel, I just hate how the shimoda cubes are similar to the fstop in that they leave alot of unused space and I’m rather just have one solid area to be able to grab what I need. Got the pryvke 21 and lite just now to test out, lite too small for most situations, 21 cool but don’t like how anything in the top compartment sags. Anyways Ive watched a million reviews and this one was my fav. Quick and did a lot of angles of your kit in the bag. Wish I was a legit photographer/videographer and could justify getting it right now, but most my ‘work’ is on hikes or super casual lol

    I bought the LowPro ProTactic BP 450 AW II because it's about half the price of the PM bag. Similar layout and it has molle on the front so you can get a bunch of other bags that strap on the front. I've got a gimbal bag hanging off of it. Really missing your photoshoot content. Love watching your shooting, lighting and composing tips and model interactions.

    • @cammackey
      @cammackey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Got two shoot videos I’m editing today ;) and yeah low pro makes some great stuff and at a great price. I’ve been shooting for over 10 years now, so I’ve owned them all haha. The low pro ones def don’t last as long though. I’m sure their latest ones have better materials and are Prbly made better now tho

    • @NickDelDuca
      @NickDelDuca 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cammackey I think they are getting better. The ProTactic still has some remnants of their older cheaper designing but It's much more robust where it counts. I think it will last a long time. Excited for the new videos! I recently switched to Canon because I was having similar issues with the colors and editing as you were with Sony. Also just got the RF 50mm F1.2! Can't wait to get out and shoot and your videos definitely inspire that for me!

    Hey man, I appreciate you doing product reviews as you’re obviously knowledgeable and you are nice to listen to, but in both this video and your last (DJI review), your lighting of the products has thrown me off so much I got pulled out of the video multiple times. In the DJI review I just quit halfway through because even at full brightness the shot was so dark I couldn’t even see the product, which is like half of the information in a video review. In this one, I was really surprised the bag was that shade of grey for two minutes and then I realised you’ve got a full on spotlight on it for some reason.
    I don’t know if I’m just not your target audience, but I figured I may as well let you know that I think you could get better engagement with more ‘regular’ lighting. Cheers

    • @cammackey
      @cammackey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll pass on that suggestion but thank you for taking the time to share your opinion! Some will appreciate the time and effort I take to make the reviews look semi cinematic and creative, some just want a boring casual looking video. I’m not interested in doing standard lighting on my TH-cam videos, rather be creative with it. If I couldn’t be creative with them, I wouldn’t do them. But luckily, there are hundreds of other reviews that you can watch if the same gear to get a well rounded opinion and idea of the products. These are also all unpaid review so they’re not paid sponsored ads, just me sharing my opinions in my own creative way. After all, all this gear are just tools for us to be creative. Not boring and safe.

    Isnt the Tokina 11-20mm CF an Apsc lens? How do you shoot with it? *edit* Oh i get it its for the Komodo
    But did you sell the cne lens or do you use both versions?

    • @cammackey
      @cammackey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ;) and I think I’m going to sell the cine one. I fucking love it, but have been leaving it home cause of the size. Cine lenses just don’t make a lot of sense for me cause I’m usually shooting run and gun with small teams. But yes I use it on the Komodo which has a 1.3x crop factor. Vignettes a hair at 11mm but goes away at 12mm

    • @Milan-cf1xe
      @Milan-cf1xe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cammackey I always wanted a cinema lens but now realized it may be not the right thing for me. Yes its huge, its difficult to focus without a follow focus and i would have to invest in more expensive filters because of the large filter diameter. Also photography lenses with the same optical performance tend to only cost the third or less of the cinema lens. Example would be Zeiss Milvus for 1k and Zeiss CP.3 for 3-4k but both share the same glass

    I’m looking for a hiking camera bag that supports a Camelbak 2Liter water pouch and hose pass through. Something bigger than my Camelbak but slightly smaller than the PM bag shown here. Currently I’m putting my Mamiya Secor lenses in large thick socks and putting everything in the backpack. I am open to suggestions from anyone.

    I have the bag I love it. I backed the every day version of this backpack, so I am invested. The only thing I haven’t liked about this bag and honestly I really really hate it or the zippers but I am kind of a zipper snob. They are way too stiff in my opinion but that is how most weather resistant zippers are

    • @cammackey
      @cammackey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh I love the zippers haha. I have never used a expensive robust bag that didn’t have stuff zippers. To me it’s just a character of hood high quality long lasting zippers

    • @BrandonTalbot
      @BrandonTalbot 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cammackey yeah it’s more of the quality of being a weather resistant zipper and don’t get me wrong it’s a good zipper but to me I want some thing I can unzip with one hand and on my particular bag it’s impossible I practically have to kneel on it to unzip it.

    I tried close to 15 different camera backpacks. I finally realized that the best camera backpack isn’t a camera backpack. It’s best to find a regular backpack and then get a good camera insert. For the last few years I’ve been using a Goruck GR1 with a camera insert. I have one insert that takes up half the backpack and one that takes up the whole capacity. The main issue for me was the comfort of the camera backpack straps once the backpack is loaded with gear. The Goruck is literally meant for carrying weights over long distances-so you know it’s insanely comfortable with heavy weight in it over long distance. The Goruck also has a LIFETIME warranty and is made in the US.

    • @cammackey
      @cammackey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s kinda what the fstop bags are. They’re like outdoors mountaineer bags. They even have metal frames, so it’s like a hybrid. For me, I need a full dedicated proper camera bag.

      I still do. Depends on what the gig is. For travel stuff where I’m having to work out of one bag, and not shooting anamorphic.. I use my portkeys one cause it’s tiny and can take more of a beating. I legit am having to leave my rig around galloping horses or hanging out of cars and shit haha. My Osee is still the goat for most things. I have scratched the screen up to hell tho
