At his size it’s really crazy. Like he’s not just tall like jabari, he’s a massive strong human with a lot of athleticism too. He can be a legit scorer in this league and I think as long as the shot stays consistent and he finds ways to get to the line ( he will) he’ll average 25+ for years to come
@@lnd1998 paolo has the potential to be an all time great all the pieces are there he just has to have the drive to put them together he could legit be a taller but less freakishly athletic lebron
Ben Simmons tools with Carmelo mentality is how I see him. I really want Orlando to take the guy who transitions easiest into a lineup, it would make things sooooo much smoother. I think starting off with high-floor moves would be a good start for us.
Paolo is honestly extremely unique as a basketball player and I don't think there's actually a good comparison to him as a player edit: guess I was right lol I've genuinely never seen this level of strength mixed with this level of skill as a ball handler, passer and overall scorer, ever
Such an interesting player that can do so many different things depending on what young squad he goes to. His self-creation, underrated athleticism, and all-around game at his size are going to be absolutely horrifying if he develops and puts all of the pieces of his game together. Best comparison I have for him is a more fleetfooted Rasheed Wallace, an inside-outside threat who can score at a high volume with really good size and polish on both ends.
Can't agree more, I either hope for Smith or Banchero but I already know we will get a 6-8 pick 💀💀 but honestly, whatever pick we get, I trust Sam Presti. I was so disappointed about the 6th pick last year but it turned out so great with Giddey
This guy has to be top of Presti’s board right? He’s trying to build a team where everyone can take it off the rim, take their man off the dribble or run a pick and roll.
He should be the no.1 pick. Has the potential to be good at damn near everything and can get to the rim. Being that big and having so many skills makes me think there is no way this guy can fail and he has a more complete skill set than Jabari and Chet. Things can change over time, but it is a good sign when guys are coming out already have a high skill level and Luka is a good example of this.
@@ninorivera407 I hope you're wrong. Smith is a high level 3 & D guy with a sweet shot. That's a good thing, and he could eventually become an All-Star, but I dont see a franchise player. I don't see a guy worthy of the #1 pick. Banchero is much more skilled and polished offensively, has a better feel for the game, and is a better athlete than Smith. His main issue is defensive focus. If a coach can get Banchero to buy in on defense like Jason Kidd got Luka to buy in this season, lookout!
I agree with you @biblicalex , but you left Suggs out. Suggs has good shooting form, so I think his outside shot will come around. Offensively, he's a jack of all trades, master of none combo guard type who should develop into a very solid starter on a good team. Defensively, he's already good, and will only get better.
I think banchero will be the “Superstar” of the draft. His offensive ceiling is so high and he has the build to be at best an average defender. Reminds me a lot of what Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are doing right now
I think here's where I'm at with the top of this draft so far - the top 4 are clear with Chet, Jabari and Paolo a half tier above Ivey. But, I can understand any of the 4 going in any order - all depends on where a team is at. For example: Paolo has the easiest case for superstardom so a rebuilding team without a real identity yet would be perfect for him. Jabari's clear fit with his shooting and defensive upside makes him perfect for a team like the Kings who have pieces but also have a big need for length, shooting and defense. Chet could work for either of the above scenarios but will definitely need more patience and training on his body.
I actually like that Paolo isn't too athletic. High flyers are exciting to watch, but they also get hurt more often. Paolo can jump, but he likely won't focus on leaping over everyone around him to score and defend which will make him a better player in the long run and with more longevity.
Would love this guy to fall to #3 to my Rockets. Fits better with Sengun and Tate starting up front. Green and Porter Jr at the guards 🔥🔥🔥. I see Wood being traded before the draft IMO.
Rockets bench is still full of young talent; Martin Jr., Nix, Garuba, Christopher. And another mid 1st rd pick this year to find a steal. Very optimistic fan here.
He reminds me of Lamar Odom. A point forward that is a good passer, questions as a shooter (Paolo showing more promise), and has the intangibles to be an average to above average defender and rebounder. I feel that if he can become a threat as a catch and shoot shooter he could play a significant role on a playoff team someday. Needs to learn to take pride in his defense, get more experience and learn to pick his spots more consistently, and rely on his passing to open up his drives.
This kid is probably the most polished and NBA ready 4 since Duncan. Strong-check, handles-check, patience-check, athletic-check,versatile-check. NBA plug and play right away.
I'm not sure if Paolo is AS fluid as a young Webber but I think that's the best comparison I have for his type of game with his size. Detroit Blake Griffin is a good comp too but that's a little unfair to Paolo's upside, I think.
Definitely #1 Overall Pick💯 Orlando need this type of player, they are filled with the Guards and Centers the time has come to have a Forward with Franz and Isaac possibly coming back next season! Mark my comment PAOLO BANCHERO will be picked #1 OVERALL & CHET HOLGRAM #2 for the THUNDER!
I would love for the Pistons to be able to draft him because he reminds me a lot of Cade Cunningham. Both players are very competent at a lot of things offensively. Neither are extreme athletes but are solid ones. Both players care about their teammates and have winning as their first goal. They both exhibit leadership qualities. Banchero was a high school quarterback in football.
The intangibles of Paolo are extremely valuable for the Pistons. Not only can he score for himself but his scoring will open the floor for Bey and Bagley/Stew. I could see him averaging 5+ assists a game in his rookie year. Not to mention the other benefits of Banchero being that he will make Cade and Killian better (if Killian isn't traded). Pick and rolls will be lethal.
