My brother rescued a duck once and he is a pretty manly man. The closest I have ever seen him to crying in the last 20 years is when he lost that duck. Just last night we were on the phone and he was telling me how the duck would follow him around and go surfing with him and ride on his board walk around with him. that ducks been gone for years and he still thinks about it. I can tell my brother loved that duck a lot and it was kinda weird trying to find the words to comfort someone about their duck flying away years ago best I could come up with in the moment was maybe it flew away to die so you wouldn't see it
