I can remember this tour like yesterday! They were playing two shows in Northern Ireland and we were booked to see them in Belfast but all the gear was stuck in mainland Europe so the Belfast show didn't happen. They were able to get the gear for the 2nd show and we went to it what a night the 30th November 1996 was!The show was in Dungannon at the leisure centre. The place was absolutely packed to the rafters with sweat rolling down the walls, they kicked off with Rick starting into Caroline but then they ripped into Paper Plane. I can remember they played a bit of sweet soul music during the encore!!! Early on Francis said is it warm down there it is up here!!!!
Bloody hell what a band, saw them on stage in Grimaud (South of France) close to the sea, they were so great a few years ago. Ricky you were there! Much respect to you all Gentlemen and thank you all for everything for these 40 years. All the best from France.
i will allways be a quo fan.it doesn.t matter what people say about the.they are s underated rock band.i saw them life in 1987 at sun city superbowl what a experience..r i.p Rick and allan you will trully be mist.rock on Francis .John Richy andy and the drummer.
It would be great to hear more about Status Quo playing in Sun City. Nothing really gets mentioned about those gigs, and I've never seen someone mention having attended one of the shows until now.
I was expecting Caroline in Glasgow but this beauty of a track came on instead very loud and buzzing they were honestly too loud and that was a sixteen year old! ❤
Why the fuck were they playing so fucking fast? Is that why Jeff got the chop? , understand playing naturally live speeds tempo up but this is mental…🫤
Brilliant band, absolutely love them. The mix on this is not very good, the mics are too loud and the guitars too quiet (this alone shouldn't be possible at a Quo concert!).
@paul james I thought the 1995 set was great. Unusual for Quo to change a set list so much. Never expected to hear Backwatee, let alone things like Softer Ride and I mean Come Rock with Me / Rockin' On. Not even tracks most people would know.

Couldn't agree more!
I don't care what anyone else says. Quo are always and have always been brilliant, it doesn't matter what era or who was in the band. 👍😘

How tight are they especially frame at times bending that tele is mesmerising to watch…
best band ever
❤❤❤
Surprise to see quo doing a span cover know the band well done guys...
Know span well too it's a shame that span weren't slightly more rockery
I was expecting Caroline in Glasgow but this beauty of a track came on instead very loud and buzzing they were honestly too loud and that was a sixteen year old! ❤
Rossi is a much underrated guitarist
Sadly not shown here, His playing in Don't waste my time is abysmal
He did nothing outstanding.get a grip.
Fucking yes that is all…
Was at that tour….
When you’re scanning the crowd pan for your 7 year old self
Good 2
Played way too fast the drug years ?
Im glad im not the only one who noticed that... I think whoever was on the mixing desk must jave been pissed up too
The drug years was earlierm in the 80s.. this is behind it!
Why the fuck were they playing so fucking fast? Is that why Jeff got the chop? , understand playing naturally live speeds tempo up but this is mental…🫤
Probably the cocaine.
The version of Caroline on the Live album is also very fast but I never hear anyone complain about the speed of it.
And they are singing out of tune
@@Brian-3942 It was earlier, in the 80s.. but stopped early 90s..
Puikūs
Rick has all the quality that rossi doesn’t.

@@ianbrooke6342 it's a raw soundboard capture that was never intended to be released
@@UnofficialStatusQuo I'm sure it is - very raw.
Way too rossi focussed this video.
The only outstanding song is gerdundula. It reminds of Gypsy music.
Flair enough, I think break the rules margarine time is good....
Does it aye...
The usual crap London audience.....
Yip I seen ti's in Glasgow and it was bouncing ❤
Drums sounds awful.
Jeff was a brilliant Quo drummer. How do you mean?
@paul james I thought the 1995 set was great. Unusual for Quo to change a set list so much. Never expected to hear Backwatee, let alone things like Softer Ride and I mean Come Rock with Me / Rockin' On. Not even tracks most people would know.
Cringey 😮
Why?
