The turret shots are actually so immersive with the town theme. Imagine chilling in the saloon and just hearing shots fired outside between two outlaws.
@@MaljH254 was just a quick mention from a previous episode about a place to store the equus, i don’t think any of the current foundations are planned for that but in case he ends up making one
Put the bigger windows on the ground floor to accurately depict a general store big windows to show off merchandise and the smaller windows in the residential upstairs will look better.
I like how the saloon's only customer right now is the Dung Beetle😊 23:09 such a graceful way to die😄 The sabor and wolf ran away together but it didn't work out too well and only the wolf remained💔
Honestly I never would have thought the saloon would come out as good as it did, there's so much detail and the frontier furniture makes it really come to life, even just the smaller things like lamps and barrels, unbelievable that this is in Ark!
Alot of old western towns didn't have space between the buildings at all. That raised "porch" with the awning was continued along the front of pretty much all buildings as well. It gave the people a place to walk without walking in mud / horse crap that the road was covered in. I think the front of the general store would look better or blend better if you continued the covered walk area as well. Just my thoughts on the matter.
A proper western town would have a corral for the livestock. You could incorporate your Dino yard into the town. And a secret high stakes poker room in that hidden space like in RDR2.
The saloon looks AMAZING! it shows that you've put much thought and effort into it and you're proud of it and it adds to it, it really does! I'm amazed by your creativity when it comes to building in ARK, it never disappoints. We very much appreciate you showing your thought process as well, it's so much better than just showing a finished out build with no personality to it
please ad a dinosour into every building, like a dilo as a barkeeper, that poisens your drinks and a galli as the owner in one of the suites maybe with the secret room? That would ad so much storyline and maybe make the lofts 2 ceilings smaller so it looks more open
For the roof above the door, have you tried using a quarter ceiling piece above the door wall and place the slanted roof off that? The roof should line up with the top of the quarter wall above the door wall and clip through to that empty space between the two apartments.
I really liked how persistent you were to find that Sabre. I’ve seen you find things that I thought were long gone in other episodes so I had faith it was gonna be there somewhere.
You are an amazing builder and would never tell you what to do, but I do think making the rooms a little smaller to include a small individual balcony out the front of each unit would look good, as you see in a lot of Western movies people always out the front on them watching the drama go down Also not sure what your plan is for the stores but putting all your saddles and saddle blueprints in the store-like shops, and the same for the jail storing all your guns, ammo and blueprints in the jail like a big armoury And I'm not sure what it would do to the frame rate but could you put dressed-up dummies around town or maybe make a “clothing shop” to store all your clothes and blueprints and put dummies in the windows
One way to use that useless hallway would be if you switched the doors to the apartments into it instead of on the back balcony area. Also, a name for the general store could be something like Manticore Mercantile, or one of the other creatures that start with an M.
I think the reason the entrance to the general store looks weird is because the doorway is super small compared to the roof part, you could try to make a two wide porch in front of the doorway and that might make it more cohesive.
You are one of my favorite I could watch you all. And I appreciate you working hard on releasing new episodes.❤ If you appreciate syntac working hard 👇
the entrance at 28:05 you could actually extend out frontwards as to make an actual porch for those that have to wait outside while their friends/family go inside for shopping. Also gives an extra place to sit down and beat the heat.
You're definitely following the path of some Minecrafters I've watched. They too went from full pragmatic to playing around with a few things for looks, to some of them being full out aesthetic builders in addition to their practical stuff. They could be good to watch if you want building tips in terms of structure and layout
Couple of ideas: 1. For the outhouses you could turn the signs and have them say guys and gals or cowboys and cowgirls or something. 2. For the space vetween the apartments maybe an outhouse? As it sits to go to the bathroom they have to go downstairs and all the way around the general store. Lol. Thanks for the video! Day 5 of asking Syntac to tame a Fasilosuchus!
I absolutely learned a few tricks that found their way into my own base by watching your saloon build! Enjoying the playthrough and I'm happily staying ahead of you cos I don't have to do pesky things like edit videos.
Synac today : “i definitely want a max jerboa at some point.” ~Finds 150 Saber and 145 Direwolf, loses them. ~Finds and knocks wolf, has Rex apocalypse. Saber: NotFound Me today : finds 150 Jerboa, tame’s it(perfectly), immediately gets killed.
Loving the interior design, I think with your store, it looks more victorian than Wild West as they tend to have flat roofs. Your design skills are on point, though, and your interior design on the bar is epic!
Gonna need a corral and barn/stable, sheriff's office, post office, bank, and hotel. Usually most of the buildings in an old western town that were close together had a walkway going along the front of all of them like a covered porch so townsfolk could go from one to the other with cover and stay out of the elements and mud. Most had back doors with an outhouse out back.
You should do two close buildings on the ground level like Bank and hotel with the upstairs connected but the bottom floors separated by a a quarter wall width.
Put a gallie with a bunch of bottles in the secret room. It will drive axe nuts with the noise when you guys do the poker night. Also fits the name of the saloon.
A creature sales/ rental place would be a good addition to the town with a barn for everyone who visits to leave their mounts. And each of the rooms you make can be for everyone to have their own spawn/ logout place in the town.
The doorways can be off the hallway with a window at the end of the hallway. Being a train stop you should have a small motel. Water tanks are for water pressure, it is way more cost effective to pump to water into a tank and let gravity create pressure.
I solved the saber mystery. 36:14 ish you can see the saber run to the right towards the 2 tall rocks as he comes over the sand dune. At 37:50 (you have to let the clip play for like half a second but he's there) you can see the saber hiding behind a rock on the left side of screen(about halfway from the top of screen), he then run more towards the left.
You should have a drink named after lucky or mort. Or like name the general store after them. Like lucky general store where you’ll always find something lucky. Or something like that idk
should make your shop look like a fancy merchant shop like having shelfs, displays, furniture, and trophies. I don't know if you need a mod for some of that stuff but a mod like old or realistic mod that had some of that stuff would look cool. I also thought having a rail way stair like a old movie saloon would be sick too it would help get rid of the craped space next to the poker table. Anyway keep up the good work been a fan of your videos since 2017.
You should definitely make some sort of attached patio at the front of the store. Where the owner would sit in a rockin chair drinking and smoking. Also to kind of extend the entrance esthetics
Your general store looks great, but you should put the big windows down below to show off produce. Also, build a stable for your animals so you won’t need the turret. Keep up the great job you’re doing! Lovin it!!❤
sugestion: offset the door one half wall inside to brake the facade and place the big windows on the botton floor to showcase the wares for sale. and add a porch along the whole front of the building on ground level.
Idea: the great dodo heist So when the boys are all in a tribe together someone tames a dodo and everyone has to try and steal it from everyone else. Whoever has it by the end of the series or maybe whoever has the dodo in possession for the most days/episodes "wins". I feel this could foster some funny interactions and hide and seek with the dodo. Im imagining teaming, betrayal and shenanigans as usual 👍
I think it makes more sense for the large windows to be at the bottom and the small at top for the general store. A store is more likely to have large windows for customers to "window shop" and an apartment is more likely to have smaller windows. I feel like the roof should be flat too, in movies you would see an ambush with cowboys hiding on top with rifles.
So that happened... lol

A library or school called "Syntac's".
If Syntac doesn't have a name for his town yet. I wanna suggest Lucky's Rest. RIP a good boi
Lucky's Rest for the town, Mort's Mercantile for the General Store? 😂
1) fill the room of “nothing weird” with coffins
2) for the general store: the Pego’s Stash (or the Pego’s Horde)
Pego’s Stash is hilarious 😂

Syntac, you definitely need to make a town hall an end of the town
4:25 amazing
2:38 a tip for that is to just disable auto crafting and craft the dye you want manually. That's why it exists after all

you could always incorporate your base into the western town, so you could make it functional and look good
