I’m AMERICAN and of course I want the Americans to do well but I really hope these Juniors from Romania stay with it go on to the senior level. The Olympics and World just aren’t the same without Romania. They have such a long gymnastic history. The gymnast world needs Romania back🦋
The biggest thing Romania needs is a stable coaching base- that’s the biggest thing they are lacking right now. Get that in place and I think you’ll see them get better.
I don't understand this need to forecast what will happen once these girls become seniors. Let's appreciate their talent in the moment as juniors, shall we? This is gymnastics and a lot can change in a short amount of time. No need for added pressure on them.
@@tekkenfan01 it doesn’t have to be Americans mostly. I think that Americans are not the best at everything. I agree with @HeidiMarie. They are so graceful and balletic.
The Chinese girls are in a class by themselves on bars and beam however while clean they fall short on difficulty on floor nearly always. The Russian girls were outstanding (Listunova's handstands on bars wow!) however bent and separated legs from both on vault and floor should have been deducted more in my opinion. Was a bit of a distraction from their beautiful choreo. The American girls have outstanding execution and difficulty on all events but not quite the polish and lines of the former gymnasts. They're all young so look forward to seeing them progress in the future!
Oooh its going to be so interesting once Simone retires, with all the problems in USAG are they going to be able to stay at the top? I'll wait to see with interest.
Competitions are extremly nice.Human body is moving forward like a wheel made by men . Seeing their copetitions , it may come to mind , any hidden power is helping them for showing people . There's a will power of men also helping them to exhibit performance . That is not possible without this. Thank you, from India. ⭐🙉👨👩👧👨👩👧👪👪🌇👫👫☔
My personal opinion is the girl from Russia and the girl from London, was it? Yeah, they are really good, I enjoyed their performance and greatly admired their skills.
Sydney Barros was dynamite on the floor, What was with the low score? Seriously difficulty had to have been at least a 4.9 at least, and her execution was perfect!
Hi, sorry can someone explain me how the ban of Russia affects gymnastics? Like aren't they allowed to send a Russian team to the Olympics? Is this decision final?
From what I understood it's mostly for track and fields. But in general I dont think the ban applies to gymnastics. And if so they just need to be subjected to a 3rd party drug testing. (Which wasnt how it was before, when it was the russians testing their own). I honestly hope it doesnt affect Gymnastics.
@@adamolition8702 agreed. I really want to see the gymnast compete under their own country's flag, especially the Rhythmic Gymnasts! If im not wrong, the gymnasts competed under Russian flag in Rio, not neutral?
@@mandapanda1804 yeah they didcompete under their own flag at Rio. Russian just needs to chill and accept that sports is about winning but more so, about the love for sports and healthy competition.

@desglacons oh right i forgot about that, and yes it should be permanent i still think that russia will continue doping. But what i mean is that the innocent russian athletes might compete under the neutral flag in 2022 so the "Russian" team can still win gold
Gowreeshthespicegirl Gymfan I believe The ban applies to all sports federations as long as the event being held is to determine a world champion or Olympic champion.
I have heard, even among some former world class gymnasts, say that gymnastics should be used as a gateway for other sports because of the strength and flexibility you gain but competition of any sort should be banned. Too much risk of injury and even death
The problem is rooted in overtraining. Training 5-6 days a week does not give your muscles and body enough time to repair and recover. Girls as young as 6 are put in developmental groups that train as hard as competitive ones. As well youngsters have a much higher probability of breaking bones simply due to the fact that they are still growing. On top of that they are trained along with the coaches to have a mentality of sacrifice which of course includes your body. Have you ever noticed gymnasts have the same body shape (lack of hips)? Not to mention the stunted height growth, this is all due to the impact on the joints due to this sport. One of my athletes litterally grew an inch in 2 months after her retirement from gymnastics. From my experience coaching gymnastics I personally believe the age requirements for worlds and Olympics should be raised much higher to prevent girls from “peaking” at 15-16 then having ridiculous injuries by 18. I’ve seen this over and over, young women broken and unwilling to participate in other sports due to what gymnastics has done to them. I also believe that competitive training shouldn’t start until 12 years old. When watching women’s artistic gymnastics you are not watching women, you are watching girls.
@@veronikas.8831 Agree totally. Interesting to hear from a coach. Remember the likes of Larissa Latynina, Agnes Keleti and Ludmilla Tourischeva and others, grown physically mature women who didnt usually start until later, didnt get the crap beaten out of them in training, and were thus able to continue even till their 30's
@@veronikas.8831 You know what just occurred to me too.....look even at the men's side. How many 6+ footers do you see there.........the men on average themselves appear to be several inches shorter than normal even though they appear to be physically healthy and well muscled
