    The entire Toyota truck line has left the house. The new Land cruiser is a embarrassment as well. By by Toyota. Thanks for the memories.

      That's the truth! The LAND CRUISER....with a turbo 4? Not sure if you've seen it or not, but there's a creator with a white tacoma 2024 that he modified (bigger tires, made it heavier) After his first long drive, he could smells his turbos from how hot they got. Never had that happen with the V6.

    Nice white Tundra. You did well. I drove a 2008 Limited TRD Offroad 287,000 miles. It required about $14K of maintenance on timing chain tensioner, transfer case 4Lo actuator, new moon roof motor, and two wheel bearings. I traded it for the 2024 SR5 TRD Offroad. I prefer towing with the 2024 over the 2008 5.7L as it had no trailer brakes. I recommend installing aftermarket air bag leveling suspension and trailer brakes on your 2nd Gen. They would tow much better without squatting.
    I wish the new SR5 had no screen. I think without the screen the cost would be a lot less. Also, leveling headlights, automatic shutoff, and remote start are all features they should leave off along with the touch screen to save the customer money on the lower trims. The cost of ownership for the 2nd gen was high. This new ones going to be even higher i suspect. I would not have purchased this 2024 if my 2008 wasn't going to cost its Blue Book value to repair it. I would have kept driving the 2008. It never leaked a drop of oil nor used oil. It was a difficult descison to trade it.

    Hey bud! Love the truck. We have been test driving the 24 limited, and the tech I do have to say is incredible. The problem here is I can't find a used Tundra V8 in KC .. at least for what I want ( a truck like yours). I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but my Tacoma is getting to feel really small. I guess I should have kept my Platinum. Appreciate your view. By the way.. you're not old lol.

      Always loved your Tundra! I saw a few 24 Tacomas and was surprised they got smaller in the back! Decide with the tundra and haven’t looked back! I’m sure you’ll find the right one with time! 😎🔥

      Just to the North of you in Omaha. I grabbed a 21 Mag-grey Limited Nightshade with 24k miles (leased) and traded my 2020 Tacoma for it. Best choice I ever made. You can’t find a 2nd gen with low miles, which obviously means something.

    problem with the older model versus the new one is the rust. New one as a lot of aluminum and box frame.

    • @OfficialAing
      @OfficialAing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea that’s a solid point! This one also bends a lot more where the bed meets the cab. Only in more tough use but still

    I have a 07 sr5 double cab 5.7 with 250,000 and it never gets old as far as driving quality. Never had one problem with proper maintenance being applied. Maybe the best truck ever built. My 07 has no screen either. Its a shiny object, not the most important part.

    I will say; go out and look for a used 2nd gen Tundra with low-ish miles. You can’t. I see used 3rd gens all over, which obviously means something on which is better.

      That’s no joke! I would’ve had to put 20-30k down to get it under $1000 a month on a TRD Pro. I can pay the $1500 but hurts my brain to think I’m just holding myself back like that month after month 😂😂
