Random Harvest is a unique film is how the landscapes look in this film. I liked how the fog sequences were filmed in this film. I just saw Random Harvest on Turner Classic Movies. It was a pretty unique film. What I thought was unique about the film was that it hardly focused on World War I or trying to recall the thematic memories that caused John Smith to loose his memory.
I find it interesting how many celebrities use stage names to shelter their real names at birth. The fact that he now thinks of himself as GW instead of Jerome Silberman just shows how much he's grown accustomed to himself
Gene Wilder picked 4 incredible films! I haven't seen the Lubitsch version of The Merry Widow, only the von Stroheim one, but I imagine it's good. His other 3 films Random Harvest: Best Romance ever, Witness for the Prosecution: Just incredible acting and screenplay from Billy Wilder and Dark Victory: featuring the always superb Bette Davis. I love how he talks about Colman.
@@SonOfASpaceApe Thank you for your quick reply! I did not know he remarried, as Gilda was the great love of his life. No wonder he loves Random Harvest and was such a romantic. Love Gene Wilder as a genuine person and his funny movies, especially "Young Frankenstein".
I miss Robert's intros, and what a talent Gene Wilder was! RIP, gentlemen!

I love this interview. It always makes me smile.
"We Are The Music Makers And We Are The Dreamers Of Dreams" Willy Wonka
Ramdom Harvest is one of my top ten films.
peace2014 I just saw Random Harvest today on Turner Classic Movies. It was a unique film. I like how the landscapes and fog sequences were shot.
I love Gene Wilder... Thanks for posting this!

I've been pondering on this interview over the past months.
Thank you.
Wonderful movie as presented by a wonderful movie star.
Absolute legend. RIP.
In this interview, Gene referred to his wife Karen. Did he remarry after passing of Gilda Radner?
He married Karen Boyer two years after Gilda's death and they were married until his death in 2016.

@@devydu Wilder and Radner were only married for five years before her death, but she fell in love with him the moment she met him.
if I could strangle the host. yeeeest, Gene's a gem as always.
Why? He was excellent.
Genius.
This was less than three months before Gene died; that Alzheimer's stuff is bull.
