i ran into a guy like that while i was running my RC and he said we were abusing animals with them, except he had a gun, and had 3 dead ducks stringed over his back. he was furious at us for nothing and when the cops came he claimed we had kidnapped him and tied the ducks to him. the cops could tell he was crazy and had a good attitude about it, but its sad how some people just cant see other people having fun with out being jealous and having to wreck their fun.
They always believe their in the right I've argued with a old person over my rc car before he was like that's too loud and then said that's got an engine lmao it was a brushless rc buggy on public property and he was telling me to leave mad old people

Believe it or not they are actually humans just like everyone else and have jobs, drive cars, laugh at comedy, drink tea, go shopping at sainsburys, enjoy a nice stroll along a beach etc. I've never understood why people see anyone with different music or fashion tastes as some kind of different species. Kevin! I have had a very similar experience to this while on a local trail with our scale crawlers. It's so annoying... We had an old dude start swearing at us (in front of my buddies 5 year old daughter) and making a fuss saying we were "eroding the trails." He started filming us and again swore at us and I said to him, "we aren't *eroding the trails* anymore than you are by walking on them....and isn't that the whole point of a trail? It is literally eroded land due to people walking on/using the public trail!" The old dude eventually left us alone but it just makes everybody have a sour attitude the rest of the afternoon because one guy was mad at us.
We got lots of these types of power-tripping authoritarians that have invaded northern California, lots of bird huggers come up to me and my friends out RC-ing, bitching that it's too loud, or "it's giving my bird a headache", or "bring that thing down, you're confusing that hawk", and one old witch came flailing her arms screaming and running at me while driving my electric boat in our local pond "YOU'RE SCARING THE BIRDS!...YOU'RE SCARING THE BIRDS!". 60 years ago, these people would be in mental hospitals

I've just started running an 6s RC Typhon bug body a buddy of mine built for me essentially. And it's honestly a bit scary running these things. Not because of the car. But because of the people who are breaking the laws here in the U.S. Dogs off leashes in public parks who give you the shifty eye. As though if their dog gets ahold of your car their in the right even though their dog's off it's leash. RC's as far as I know here in the United states so long as they don't fly are a family hobby.
I really feel sorry for old folks like this that seem to have not had any sort of fun and so they take it out on younger guys living their life, you gotta wonder what kinda childhood they had
