    So your media trick is "bring and iPad"? 🤦‍♂️

    • @danimalshouse
      @danimalshouse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is. The point is that the F-150 still doesn't give a complete and user friendly option that is better than using an iPad. Also, the F-150 dash conveniently has a flat section to rest an iPad in a way that makes it visible to all passengers. Once the iPad is connected the truck's wifi for data and bluetooth for sound, the option demonstrated is a great way to use a simple process for accessing the many options of the streaming world. Thanks for watching!

    This trick is actually quite useful. I was wondering how to hold up a tablet in that space, now I know a simple and effective way! Many users would find it preferable to simply bring a tablet (apple or android) rather have to use the truck's user interface, which is never going to be as well designed as the tech companies'. Remember Apple's entire business model is around designing a good interface. Ford is a car company first. Lots of car reviewers also point out that even cars that include entertainment screens for passengers, they are laggy, don't have proper brightness, resolution, or don't get updates as needed.

      Moral of the video is that looking for some special trick or hack isn't worth it. I showed a logical adaptation of what was available that others may appreciate. The promises of great experiences from other options I believe are empty. The iPad works awesome when paired with the F-150 WiFi and any application you want. Magic Box and others don't allow for all apps, only the ones they are partnered with. Also, when you use the iPad, and you turn the ignition power on and off, it doesn't reset the auxiliary system and require you to login and select your shows like on Magic Box. I know it's simple and obvious but it's a great way to stream. I drove thousands of miles in the Dakotas while following my daughters college basketball career and the passengers loved this option. If you don't agree that's fine but blowing out someone else's candle doesn't make yours shine any brighter. Your comment was immature to say the least.

    Am I right in assuming that the sound is using the iPad speaker and not the truck sound system. And if you are playing that through the truck stereo, how?

    • @danimalshouse
      @danimalshouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The sound from what is playing on the iPad is coming through the truck speaker system via a basic Bluetooth connection from the iPad to the truck, just like any other device could be linked for music. It sounds great!

      @@danimalshouse thanks for confirming that. I was wondering because the grandkids will like that. This truck has so much tech in it I’m slowly figuring it out.

    Man I was expecting this video to give me more reasoning to buy a $300+ gadget to do this with the truck screen... but I think you just saved me $300. Putting common sense out there, just use what you have.

      Thank you for the feedback. I wasted a bunch of time chasing another way and this is the best for sure.

    The truck is buy a iPad… not useful at all.

      The trick is to use the built in truck WiFi that is more reliable than a phone hotspot, locate and place a chrome strip on the dash that matches perfectly and keeps the iPad from sliding, and use the case folded over the dash to hold everything from falling when you accelerate. Using all other options like Magic Box I found to be clumsy and slow. This method works great. Just yesterday my passengers watched an NFL game through the Dish app while driving through Iowa on the way home. 10" screen, perfect screen quality, and bluetooth audio through the truck. Much better than Magic Box.

    Is there any voice lag playing videos

    • @danimalshouse
      @danimalshouse  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes and it's a little annoying. It's in the processing of the truck audio system and cannot be avoided. It's only noticed when you see up close talking when you can see the mouth movements and realize they don't match well. Not perfect.

      I'm sorry you didn't see value. What I was trying to show is that all of the advertised items like Magic Box don't work very well and didn't fit my interests. The best way I found to utilize the resources was to use the truck WiFi and bluetooth along with an iPad that had better streaming app integration. Then I showed how I rest it with a special chrome strip so everyone in the vehicle views comfortably. Basically, don't waste your time and money looking for special hack, just use what you have and you'll be happier. Best wishes and thanks for watching.

    Disappointing video lol

    • @danimalshouse
      @danimalshouse  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You know, others have been disappointed with the video as well but actually, the simple answer is the whole point. I wasted my time trying to use Magic Box and other "special double secret" method for streaming and found out that I had the best option all along with the iPad. The video shows why and how I adapted it to work great. It's still the best option I've seen because it is fast and compatible with all app's for streaming. Also, I can send the iPad to the back seat to let non-drivers pick the entertainment so I can keep my eyes on the road and my wife doesn't have to feel like a loser trying to navigate through apps that the kids can do faster.

      Sorry, I really thought showing people that there isn't a better way out there compared to an iPad would save others the work I went through as I searched for a "special double secret trick" only to find dead ends. This video pisses more people off that what it was worth. I'll change the title so the next ones aren't so frustrated. Take care and sorry for wasting your time.
