I have different name on my id. I have Rutvi Manish Rathod on my passport and other government issued id but I have Rutvi Rathod in my mark sheets. Is that going to be an issue?

Hi. Im sports physio from Argentina. How much is the total cost of the registration to obtain the license? And i would like to know if is possible to get a job offer in canada being in my country? Thanks
Hey! The cost can vary, as each situation is so different. Take a look at our longer webinar, becoming a PT in Canada. It gives you a break down of costs. You can definitely get an offer while living in your country. Email me your resume! Info@ptexamprep.ca
How relevant is experience when finding a job? I’m completing my doctorate in PT in the US and am planning on working for a 1 or 2 years before moving. I’m worried if this is enough to find a job in the bigger cities (like around Vancouver)
Hey! Most clinics and inpatient facilities are in need of physios, so even 1 year of experience would likely land you the job you are looking for. With COVID, things might change for private physio position openings, since they will need to build their caseload back up. Feel free to contact me when you are a few months away from moving here. You can work in BC before taking the CAPR's written and practical exam!
The 5th step. How do we apply for those courses and are they supposed to be done online? Or we have to be physically present in canada to complete those courses? And we are required to complete the courses before we apply for credentialing?
You can start applying for your credentialing and in the process you will learn if you need to update anything. There are some courses, like the Healthcare in Canada course that will need to be done, but you can start your credentialing process before taking it.
hi! i am on my 3rd yr on my BPT and im planning to work in canada on the future. do u recommend i get clinical experience after i get my license then apply for credentialling after a few years?
APPLY AS SOON AS YOU CAN (if you can afford it financially)! Get the process started because you can continue to work clinically while your credentials are assessed/reviewed by the CAPR.
Hello, my name is Richard and I graduated in Philippines for 5 years Physical Therapy Course. I want to ask if as a foreign graduate, can I practice as a Physiotherapist Assistant in Canada? Or do I need to take an exam? Or Do I still have to attend 1 or 2 more years to be eligible to work as PTA? Thank you for you future feedback.
Hi Richard, there is no licence required to be a PTA. Most employers hire PTA's who have successfully completed an Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant Education Accreditation Program. However, internationally trained PTs may be considered in the hiring process. I hope this helps :)
I would highly recommend coming to Canada to work as a PT! You have to get your schooling approved by the CAPR to ensure it meets Canadian standards, and then you would need to take a written and practical exam.
hi..does it mean if i didn’t practice pt back in my home country, its impossible for me to pass the 1st step which is credential checking?
Can you say more about 5 th criteria??
Hey Lata! if you have questions, please email us at info@ptexamprep.ca, we'd love to answer them!
