order from chaos are very well liked down here in New Zealand , when angelcorpse finally played here about 5 years ago there were OFC shirts everywhere in the crowd

It's partly a botched response by a broken system but to think that there aren't any Machiavellian minded people in positions of power... I couldn't believe that. Also, the way that Chuck is talking about history here sounds to me like more or less a denial cultural change. Absolutely, human nature hasn't changed all that much in the period of recorded history, even between peoples whose divergence goes back much further, but its expressions certainly have. Maybe this is just how I'm hearing him but while there are great similarities between the people of different epochs and cultures there are significant differences as well.
