I have been training our blue merle Australian Shepherd to be my wife’s service dog. COVID 19 had been making it hard training for public access. We have been task training.

My wife has heart problems along with anxiety and depression and I am planning on getting her one of these dogs because I think it would be a great fit for her. This video helps me decide that this breed won’t be to rough on training for her.

That seems like a great idea! Hope your Wife is doing good! Also for anxiety and depression I would suggest golden retriever or Australian Shepard they are both great dog breeds!

I believe that labradors are amazing as well. I have a service dog for generalized anxiety disorder, autism, and other needs and my dog is a Labrador retriever

I would say a Aussiedor which is a Australian Shepherd cross Labrador would be great for her

I recently learned that deep pressure is also got for fibromyalgia. Definitely will be looking into learning my future dog these things same, with the anxiety even though I rarely break down in public, but that move with the hand, was something I could recognise 😊

I wish you the best of luck and should have training content within the month of February the latest, starting to come out on here with obedience, advance obedience, tricks if wanted, and some service dog tasks. I use to break down regularly in public but thanks to my service animal and me working on personal healing, it’s gotten less intense but still does happen, that being said when it does it’s not pretty and can last hours and cause heavy strain on my body and mental health. This treatment is something that has been exactly perfect for me and I’m grateful for the ability to train dogs for it and look forward to sharing content soon to help others learn how to train it as well!💛

@@TheExploringK9s I'm really sorry to hear that. But thank you for sharing your progress with it all, tough fight but seems like you've gotten really far! Always something to be proud of! 😊.
Yeah I love working with animals too, I just feel like there is a deeper understanding. I learned that by training a horse that was also nervous and easily spooked. At first I thought, terrible fit because I've had issues coming back after an accident with another horse. But over the course of 3 years I learned that, there was a deeper understanding and that we could help each other and It did wonders. I'd walk him alone on walks and he'd be completely relaxed. Unfortunately he was put down in September.
I was looking for a dog to get a hopefully meaningful companionship too and teach to do task that could really help me out and at the same time give the dog a job as the Aussies love to work especially when their minds get challenged 😊.
I completely understand your view point. Animals in general are just amazing at understanding and helping these things. Most importantly their love is unconditional and they don't judge you. 😊 Looking forward to see your training videos!

Emotionally available dogs are the best.

Oh for sure! So heart warming and filling. The pure love from a loving dog with higher emotional capacities is just the best! Truly will never forget this dog in my life

I'm getting an aussie shepherd service dog at the end of the year. I'm getting one for retrieval and mobility. It will be professionally trained like what you guys do. Are there any videos of Aussies being trained for these tasks or are working for their handler performing them?
