      Unfortunately almost all of my scary stories from work are Supernatural like the time the knives at the restaurant I used to manage came off the magnetic holder and flew off and all landed Point down in the Butcher Block right next to me and the Jukebox would come on by itself playing Black Dog by Led Zeppelin it used to be a tire repair shop and Legend had it that a worker at that shop had over inflated a tire and it exploded decapitating him and that was his ghost forever trapped in the pizza restaurant he still thought it was the tire repair shop that he perished at I was by myself all the time at closing sometimes I was by myself until 2:00 in the morning and I had to walk home there's your scary story from work

    The way she said people would tell her to use her voice or else god would take it away as if that’s a normal thing to say… that’s not normal at all. Whatever church she went to is twisted. To basically threaten that if she doesn’t sing god will punish her is so creepy and strange. I grew up in a very religious family and went to church 3 times a week, and no one would ever say something like that. That’s a big red flag and I can’t really explain why it’s so alarming

      Similar here. I was raised Catholic, went to Sunday school and even later on in my 30s worked in a Catholic school and taught Sunday school. Never had to deal with that kind of thing. But I think my great grandmother must've delt with some bad ppl in the church b/c she always said "a priest takes his collar off amd he's like everybody else" meaning don't worship the ptiest- worship God.

    That last one got me. I wasn't nearly as perceptive as this lady was, something I've come to regret as I age. I wasted a lot of time buying into the whole mess back then. It took me awhile to see the problems with "unquestioning faith" in everything taught. When I did, I once phrased it as, "I haven't lost my faith... just my religion!" People are people, and that's something you have to remember about any group you get into. I'm happier hanging with people who have open minds and non-judgmental attitudes. Trust your gut, and if you have to, take yourself away from the noise of other people and your own habits for a little bit and just listen to what's going on inside you. It's not always easy but try not to judge or react to what you hear. Though you may decide you want to change things or get help with anything that feels "discordant" inside you at that moment just listen. Be as honest with yourself and others as you can be, and you will more easily find your path. My 2 cents, and sorry if I got to sermonizing. I blame old habits! 😉 Blessed be all.))

    I find the third story very interesting. Personally I'd suspect that "Vikky" was always under the influence of whatever you saw. Most likely a demon.
    As for the numb sort of feeling you describe and lack of memory, there are two possibilities I'm aware of.
    1. It's possible that you experienced something incredibly traumatic, possibly even more than the bits you remember and that your brain has blocked it out which explains the distortion.
    2. It's also possible you and the others there were under a sort of hypnotic effect. Something like a glamour or compulsion, which explains the odd behavior of the others as well as yourself. Creatures of that type can manipulate perceptions.

      I'm a hugger by nature amd I totally agree with you being forced to hug strangers is weird. I also grew up Catholic and during the sign of peace i liked shaking hands with everyine around me and hugging my little brother and my parents - but in my church it was never an obligation. Sometimes my cousin would just turn around in the pew in front if me and give me a peace sign for the sign of peace :)

      Yeah same here I'd put off by being forced to hug people too, also based on how some of the people there were described I get the distinct feeling that some of them would be a bit more touchy than a regular hug...
      But hey, who would've guessed that the church would ignore probable child predation.

      Yeah there is NO way my parents would've been ok with random adults, especially men, hugging me or making any other kind of close contact with my body. in the church I went to, the usual way of doing it was that you'd shake hands with your family members and do a hand gesture to anyone else who was in the pews close to you. it seems some churches take everything in a really sketchy, cult-y direction

    Since the last story takes place in a church organization, it makes me think of my father since he was over zealously religious up to the point of being fanatical. He dragged me, my mother, and older sister to various church functions and organizations, always expecting us to be excited like him, but when he saw that we weren't, he would launch into one of his damn HOLIER THAN THOU, FIRE AND BRIMSTONE rants which I eventually learned to tune out.

You should have just said you didn't want to go and express yourself, but then again any dumb thing you could think to do on earth is a waste of time if it does not benefit Family or The Kingdom of God; especially if unsaved whatever you could think to do won't last longer than an eternity in Hell. I was really invested in that last story...But honestly because of how fast she became popular in the church and especially because of the end. She probably summed a demon to make her popular and loved, and it started to come out🤷🏾‍♀️

      @@Apples_forlife It is a very deep serious thought, to weigh on the mind, what you said. It's frightening thinking popular & beloved church leaders, have called on the dark Angel Lucifer, to assist them in their rise to popularity and success.

    • @Apples_forlife
      @Apples_forlife 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lisar.veneziano1517 it really is, I think some of them aren't fixed in god. And because of that they rather ask the dark for a quicker way to success. Because the evils road is more flexible then gods. Being on gods road requires you to be a person with good intentions and ready to keep straight on gods narrow and stright road and do right. But the devil's road allows you to do whatever you want, which is easier for some. That's if you choose to go into the religious world.

    I had my own encounter when I was 16 in the Appalachians, see it was winter and my family lived in a Cabin for several years,it was the family hunting Cabin, very old yet beautiful, we lost our old house in a fire and decided to just live in the cabin till we can find a new home, well one day I was on my way home from school and it was late in the day, and from the gate off the main road to the cabin was a mile walk a good hour walk cause of the snow, usually took half a hour during the summer and Autumn, well I was walking down the dirt road and noticed it was getting dark out, nothing new really during winter, but I noticed the woods were well quite, Wich is weird cause there is usually deer, wolves and rabbits usually active, my hair was standing on end and I became on guard, worried a wolf might had gotten desperate (wolves rarely hunt humans and it is usually a last resort when food is really scarce), but while I was walking I started to walk slower and keep my eyes on the woods on both sides of me, I noticed a shadow in the woods walking in pace with me, at first I thought it was my shadow, but the I noticed my shadow was on the other side of me, so I started walking faster, and then started to jog until I went into a full sprint running and slipping a few times, I noticed the shadow was running as well but what made me aware it definitely wasn't a shadow was that it was jumping over fallen snow top covered logs and then onto the road behind me, I remember hyperventilating, I made it to the bend that led to my house, right when turned, I heard a screeching tires and a thud, my neighbor hit whatever chased me, turns out to be a tweaker aka a crack head who was also wanted for murdering his gf and drug dealer.
    That was the scariest thing I ever encountered in the Appalachians

    While the military our welder took his vacation back to the states. When he came back he told us about how he spent a couple nights at his uncle’s place up in the mountains of West Virginia.
    He said there was something that came around at night, made a bunch of growling noises, rummages through the trash cans looking for food, and was big. Really big. It wasn’t a bear. Bears sounded, looked, and acted different. This thing is something he had never seen before up in those mountains.
    Said all you ready could see was it’s eyes but just a dark shape in the dark and wouldn’t come into the light.
    He told us the first night his uncle saw it he unloaded a full mag of 9mm into it from his pistol. The thing growled at him and ran off.
    A few nights later it came back and his uncle had started carrying his .45 Glock in case it came back. He unloaded another full mag of .45 cal. into what he thought was its face and upper body areas based on where its eyes and body outline was. And….it got mad and half growled, half screeched at him and then took off. His uncle said, “what ever it is, it took a full mag of 9mm and .45, 28 rounds in total. I ain’t messing with it anymore. It just rummages through my trash cans at night , it can have them.”

      Whoa that story is wild! Assault weapons would be the next thing up I guess. Any theories on what it might of been?

    • @CaptHowdy-ym8px
      @CaptHowdy-ym8px 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Passions5555 it was back around 1999,2000 when we were told this. I remember his name (last name in the military) and laughing with the rest of the guys when he told us. But we (I) always wondered what it could have been. One of those big cats that people see? Some sort of were-creature or skin walker? Or other crypto creature?
      I saw something one night guarding a new solar farm being put up past the Piedmont and just into the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. Just north west of Blowing Rock and West Boone. I was the night shift guard and we had to do our shifts in our cars. When they put a temp road down we either stayed up at the site or out by the little country road. Heard something at my trunk and put my car in reverse (stick shift) to get the reverse lights light up what ever was back there. Just saw something in my rear view mirror looking akin to a giant dog skull with strips of fur/skin hanging off with big sharp teeth that looked like a smile staring right back at me through my rear window. I noped right back down to the country road. Pulled out my Glock 21 SF (even though I was supposed to be a licensed unarmed guard going out in the woods has made me learn to be armed since I was little, also it may not have harmed it but sure made me feel better than having nothing) and my cheap Wallymart flood lamp flashlight. Couldn’t get a clear view of it from the road since the sight was 3/4 to a mile back but I could see it occasionally move around and it’s eyes glowing at me. Saw those eyes again a couple weeks later but didn’t go back up to the site after dusk. Couple of friends said skin walker but years later I came across a couple of crypto-creatures from local Native American legends in the area. Was very hard to find due to many tribes being killed off quickly with plague, violent encounters with explorers (either the tribe being war like and/or the explorers being aggressive [usually the explorers or both, especially the Spaniards], or just settlers moving in the area and fighting the natives). Have some sort of Wolf-man hybrids in the area long ago. Not werewolves cause these guys don’t change. Or they do but wasn’t a lot of information. Same with lizard-men south of there in South Carolina. Brown Mountain and the Brown Mountain range has historic weird stuff that goes on. UFO lights, ghosts and spirits ranging from pre-revolutionarÿ to Post civil war. Also strange giant men guarding a cave entrance, which go’s back to the UFO tales, and so on and on tails with Brown Mountain and the Appalachian Mountains. Also have the skunk-ape that comes through while migrating. Of course it could have been a crazy Appalachian mountain man (they’re actually real and not something you have to have faith they’re real, except for “Wrong Turn” movie mutated mountain men, they’re not real) trying to scare (it worked) then rob and kill me. Hopefully he wouldn’t have anything sexual in mind too. If it was a crazy Appalachian mountain man I would have plugged him full of holes and turned him into a vengeful mountain ghost, thereby creating a new urban/country side legend.

    I'm really excited to hear your collection of European forest stories an especially hope one of them occur in Romania. Though filled with what I'm sure are lovely people Romania seems to have the worst weather in Europe. For governments they had a communist Dracula and their woods are worst of all. I was watching a documentary about unwelcoming woodlands and the worst I saw were there. All the trees were spindly and closely packed and pitch black. It's one of those perpetually dark forests and many hikers had very bad memories of it. Those who eventually reemerged from it obviously.
