Great call!!! I love the result and it's always a great learning experience to see what can be done apart from scraping or pouring over. This worked beautifully!
Funny how you think it is a fail and I am left awe inspired. I am a VET suffering still with severe PTSD. I'm looking for something with beautiful energy to be louder than the ugliness in my head. Thank you. I
AWESOME...MAYBE TRY HAVING A MORE WETTER BASE..FOR FLOW OF COLORS..ALSO, TRY PULLING SLOWER ON CHAINS. ALSO, TRY AFTER YOU HAVE PUT YOUR PUDDLES DOWN.,. DRIZZLING PAINTS OVER THE CHAINS...GIVES MORE TO THE FLOW OF MIXING ... I LIKE YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS WITH THIS...🥰👍
I'm a beginner at acrylics. Just came upon this video. Your hands just flow. That is really pretty. I've only tried 1 time to chain pull , it did not turn out good at all. I'd like to try your technique but with just 2 lines . Amazing job 👍😁😁😁😁😁
Hi! I used DecoArt's dazzling metallic acrylics mixed with pouring medium to thin. All items used in this pour are linked in the description box if you are curious~ :)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to fix their stuff!! You did really well with yours!! My only 😔 is that instead of giving actual colours that you used, there was a link to a site - that is very useful too, but many of those products are not available everywhere!! I'm in South Africa & import duties & xchange rates make buying online from overseas very xpensive 🙄😟
I preferred the simplicity of the first try. What followed was heavy with busy-ness. Where did you come up with kumquat? I ask because I have labeled myself as neither banana nor peach (à Leo Buscaglia) but a kumquat. It is a rare, unfamiliar fruit beyond the Far East. How are you acquainted with it? In my case, we had pickled kumquats along with the pickled watermelon rinds at the holiday dinners of my childhood.
when doing the flowers you drew. Here's a HINT for you: Before you start a painting determining where the light source comes from; this makes life bit easier...This is well meaning your drawing was quite nice, but as an old artist sometimes I throw a little painting info out there...Great Piece!
I love your sense of color, play and joy in discovering "what if." So much amazing art happens this way, and yours came out beautifully. A technique definitely worth exploring. Enjoy the journey! New sub here...look forward to seeing more!
The save turned out Beautifully, But it looked alright before because of the colors. New subscriber could you tell me what colors were used? Thanks for the video!
Hi! I appreciate the kind words - I was being hard on myself at the time (I'm definitely my own worst critic!) The paints were from the DecoArt Dazzling Metallics set (Berry, Purple Pearl, Festive Green, and Crystal Green) The top link in the description leads to the metallics variety set I had purchased if you are interested~ :)
@@LifeIsKumquat - Thank you for answering☺, I'm a new artist, so trying to find me is a learning curve( if you understand) so always interested in new and different paints & techniques also suggestions, I love 💕the support. So again Thank you so much for the videos! **Don't be so hard on yourself, you work is amazing😊...
I thought whatever is being pulled gets soaked in paint then pulled. That looked really pretty before pulling, would have been cool to make it into a mixed media without pulling.
Thank you! This was a variation on the chain pull technique that I'd seen and wanted to try out. I didn't get the same result as the one I was inspired by, but you never know until you try~ :)
Well, I certainly learned something from it. If the bottom sections of the chain pull are green, they turn out looking like leaves. I wonder if a slow chain pull would've made a difference?
Thank you for watching and your comment~! That's a good question and was definitely a variable. I also think my paint thickness/viscosity was off as well.
Your videos are such an inspiration and put together so well. No talking needed, soothing music. I can't get enough! Keep them coming.
Aww, thank you for your kind words~

I loved it. At least you were honest about it, and the end result is still beautiful.
Thank you~

Thank you .. brilliant how you created a beautiful painting even though it didn’t go to plan.. very inspirational😍
I really like your "Fail"! And it's never a fail when you like it at the end :-) Great job.
Great comeback! Looks terrific!
Love it , the simplicity is what makes the beauty of it ! Well done !
That worked out great. Yay 😀
:)
This is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing
Oh my goodness, beautiful .
Wow, I am new at this kind of medium. You are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Love that if doesn't work just fix it! BRAVO
Thank you~ :)
How you fixed this is impressive.
We make no mistakes. There are only happy accidents.😁 It wasn't what you intended, but you still made it come out quite lovely.🌸❤
You did it!! Looks like prairie flowers in my back acres!
Thank you! That sounds so lovely~ :)

Art is never wrong.
Still fun when you see how things work out when you had intended on something else. Nice save!
Thank you~ :)
Its beautiful, it doesn't matter how you got there.

Aww thank you~
So pretty. Wow!
Sometimes ya gotta just go with it. Some of my fav pieces are "fails" of another technique I was doing! Lol! Love this one!!
Very true! Thank you~
Absolutely gorgeous work!!!
Thank you~!
Wow !! This is amazing ! It turned out so different to what I thought it was gonna be...stunning !
Thank you~ :)
May not have been what you expected, but I thought it was beautiful. Lovely music! Perfect video.
The end result is beautiful!
Thank you~!
I like it before the touch up to be honest, and it was beautiful after as well. Great Job

I love it. But I actually liked it before. But you certainly salvaged the painting! Kudos,
and THANKS for sharing👍
Thank you for the kind words~ :)
More impressionist than abstract. Very pretty
First time watching. Good save with the paintings.
Thank you~ :)
Really nice art 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Please i would like to know the name of these kind of chains!
Thanks a lot
Thank you! They don't have a special name, just stainless ball chains. :)
Thanks

Totally agree.
Beautiful finish….you could make a silk purse out of a pigs ear …..a craftsman at work.
Great save!
I liked it except the last teal green color added at the end. I really liked the more yellowish greens. But it still was cool.
Beautiful what did you add to paint???
I mixed Liquitex pouring medium into the acrylics :)

barbara leighton don’t have to worry so much when letting go and doing abstract.
@@JCcreates927 OH I get it, I just have to let go of my learning and paint outside the box...thanks

String is usually soaked in paint first, not so much chain.
It’s good!
In the second half we learn how painting began.
I love it.
Gorgeous! New Aussie subscriber! 😀💜🐨⚘
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed~ :)
Очень красиво
Espectacular
Love it 🌺❤
what size chain?
Hi! I don't recall exact measurements, but this was most likely 2.4mm ball chain cut to roughly 10"/25.5cm long each.
Beautiful very beautiful. Like like from CHILE.👍👍👍💝💝💝👍

Lindo lindo
Creativo 👍
Grazie! :)
wow
This would’ve turned out way cooler the first time if you would’ve just slowed down
I don't believe you ever needed the chain.
💜👍
not in black background...choose white...
Hi! Thank you for your input- this is an older video and I have since stopped using the black background~ :)
