Have you read the following text from Peter himself. He states that the Holy Spirit, is given AFTER OBEDIENCE: Acts 5:32 states, "And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him". Therefore ***KEEPING THE SABBATH is a PRE-REQUESITE*** to receiving the HOLY SPIRIT. Your understanding is BACKWARDS, CONTRADICTING Peters plain words in Acts 5:32.
@@mbrown6837 so when do we ever receive the Holy Spirit given as was said in Acts that even the Jews couldn't keep the law? Furthermore the same Peter you rely on in text is the same one who is recorded in Acts 10:45-48 speaking opposite to your claim. Be careful of the doctrine you espouse. Rightly divide truth. @@teachmetheway7081 I am amazed that you chose Cornelius as a supposed example "opposite of my claim." Please explain WHY you chose Cornelius, so I understand what you are trying to say. And contrary to your assumption, I have more than one example that keeping the Sabbath comes BEFORE receiving the Holy Spirit. Consider Messiah's own words in Acts 1:5- "For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." The Apostles were ***ALL SABBATH KEEPERS*** when they received the promise of the Holy Spirit. You will not find anyone in the NT receiving the Holy Spirit who has not been 1) taught by Sabbath keepers or 2) were already Sabbath keepers. In the Great Commission Messiah told His apostles to teach both Jew & Gentile to OBSERVE WHATSOEVER HE COMMANDED, which would include keeping the Sabbath, for the Gentile, who the fourth commandment refers to as the "stranger".
@mbrown6837 You are trying too hard to hold onto a doctrine that is disproved by Scripture. Gentiles received the Holy Spirit FULLSTOP. Peter directly addresses you. THEY WEREN'T SABBATH KEEPERS. Sir, all your writing becomes pointless to prove your opinion in the face of direct evidence.
@mbrown6837 because it is opposite. You very clearly stated - ' no HS before Sabbath'. Now you expand the requirement to include that of being taught by Sabbath keepers. Amazing. The account spoke plainly yet you chose to use deductive logic to come to YOUR CONCLUSION which is opposite to the clear proof of scripture. Doctrine is important; Scripture is important but truth is unassailabe in its criticality to our lives. You replace the truth of Scripture with a lie. You are worshipping the God of your mind, not the God of truth. If you were of the truth you would immediately relent from this course. The main thread of the chapter debunks your law keeping requirements. Yet you maintain U before T instead of T before U (T for TRUTH). Anyways argue against Holy Spirit on this matter. ADL, It amazes me how you guys always say "who cares" you only "do Bible". You are not aware, if it weren't for the Catholic Monks, you wouldn't even have your Bible. And you don't realize, the Early Church did not have The New Testament. So what did the Early Church Fathers practice? Your answer is "Who Cares"? Lol, ignorance is bliss in this world, but Not with God. Repent, while we still have time
The early christian leaders copied their writings and passed them along both orally and through the written word. Sure, they might not have had a complete compilation of the New Testament before it was uniformly assembled after the fact. However, that doesn’t mean that the disciples and their students didn’t have copies of The Gospel in their own written works and testimonies(given by The Spirit)and a way to present them to the masses house to house and synagogue to synagogue. Also, I reject the argument that we wouldn’t have had the New Testament section of the Bible without the Catholic Church. The credit belongs to God and not to the church. Now even if I do accept the premise of your argument, how do you reconcile the fact that the Bible that the “Catholic Church” gave us directly contradicts its own teachings within its very pages? You say that Simon peter is the first pope but perhaps it was the Simon of acts 8:18-23 instead . In Mathew 16 it is clear that Christ is the cornerstone that the church is built on and not on the pebble(Peter). Moses was denied the promise land because he struck the stone twice and did not give glory to God. This example should give any follower of God pause before he as man takes credit for the assembly of the Bible.
@@Truen091you misunderstood me regarding The Catholic Church giving the Bible to the World. I'm not saying they wrote the Bible. The Holy Spirit inspired the writer's. It's the assembly of the Testaments and the old testament, and putting it all together in one book, called The Bible, that was done by Catholic Monks. That's historical fact. Peter's name might mean pebble, however, you also skip over the fact that Jesus gave him "The Keys", which a lot of people don't understand the office of the keys and what it means. Also, the new testament says The Apostles are the Foundation of the Church, The first Living Stones, building up the Church. Also, Jesus breathed The Holy Spirit on the Apostles and gave them authority. Also, Pentacost was the beginning of the Church. From thence forth, we can track the history of the Early Church, the students of the Apostles, like St. Ignatius of Antioch. Can you give me one example of a contradiction between the Bible and Catholic teaching? Besides the Sabbath Day, because, I've explained that so many times, giving Biblical texts. No one understands or cares. They don't want to understand.
@@jfarrell2772 before Jesus gives peter the keys He warns them about the leaven of the Pharisees and sadducees. Immediately after he gives him the keys to the kingdom of heaven, he tells him “get behind me satan”. Why? Because Peter still had his own ideas about Gods plan. Later peter decides to cut off the ear of the soldier, further taking matters into his own hands. Jesus reminds him that His kingdom is not of this world. At the end of Mathew he warns that grievous wolves would enter the church after them and to not be deceived. Don’t misunderstand me, I fully believe in the mission and spiritual authority of the disciples to carry on the gospel of Christ Because it was given by Christ. However, how do you know that a prophet, king, priest, or even a chosen people has strayed away from Gods plan? Especially when it has happened in the past and Jesus warned that it would happen in the future? Saul was previously anointed but strayed away. The very people of God strayed away and their temple destroyed. Paul, in Galatians 1:6-17, says of anyone that preaches a different gospel than the one that the disciples had preached to be accursed. Paul gets even more specific in verse 11-12 when he mentions that he didn’t receive the gospel from a man, nor was it according to man, nor was it received by a man, nor taught by a man. In verse 13 it says that he Paul was in the wrong when he was persecuting the church of God. The papal Roman system is a system that preaches their own gospel according to the dictates of men and the traditions of men(the magisterium and the traditions). It also doesn’t help that their sword is bloodied that of the saints through its acts of persecution. That too is a historical fact. I am not speaking of the people but the system itself. I believe that there are many saved Catholic people and probably more than many other religions due to its sheer volume I believe in the sacred Word of God and not in the other two pillars of the Catholic Church being the magisterium and the traditions of men. These I believe to be the leaven. A question for you: If the current pope or one of the priests or bishops were to say that he believes in certain kinds of unbiblical teachings such as certain kinds of marriage, the worship of idols, the worship of the dead, for example. Would you follow after his words or after the Words of God as written in His Word? Would you worship after the number of a man or after the number of God? Do you think that it’s the blood of Jesus that saves you or the indulgences of men that do? We cannot buy ourselves out of hell. @@Truen091 Hey, thanks for your response and questions. Your perception of the Catholic Church is one that the world, especially Protestant religions believe, but is not quite how you see it to be. For example, Catholics do not obey the Pope, if He contradicts the Bible. The duty of the Pope is to protect God's word and The Sacraments, Jesus commanded His disciples. Most Popes have tried to change the Bible and bring in their own ideas, but it never works. Catholics, who knows God's word and the Sacraments, usually ignore the Pope. The Sacraments are, Baptism, confession and Repentance of sin, The Lord's Supper, Apostolic Succession through the Laying on of hands, the Sanctity of Marriage, The anointing of the sick. All these Sacraments are what is necessary for Salvation, in addition to the Most important of all..which is our belief and confession that Jesus is Lord and The Only way, Truth and Life. Everything else, such as Rosary, asking Saints here in Earth as well as in heaven, etc..are NOT required for Salvation, but are just tools to grow in a deeper relationship with Jesus and each other. So when, the Pope says gay couples can be blessed, people just roll their eyes. So, Jesus gave us the Sacraments as a protection against heresies coming from the Popes and others. As far as Peter's weaknesses, denying Christ, etc.. That doesn't take away the fact that Jesus gave him the office of the keys. Peter's weaknesses, at times are the same way all Pope's have acted throughout these 2000 years. When Jesus said "get behind me Satan". When the Holy Spirit works upon the hearts of Gods people and we are found living in harmony with Gods commandments then at the appointed time the Holy Spirit then will do His work of sealing each individual found worthy of the grace of God. I say grace because is only by the grace of God we receive the victory over sin.
Have you read the following text from Peter himself. He states that the Holy Spirit, is given AFTER OBEDIENCE:
Acts 5:32 states,
"And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him".
Don't run off on tangents because others will follow.
Also you spelt *REQUESITE* wrongly- REQUISITE.
Consider Messiah's own words in Acts 1:5-
"For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence."
The Apostles were
***ALL SABBATH KEEPERS*** when they received the promise of the Holy Spirit.
He is the one who broke your law.
@@teachmetheway7081 Before I respond to your ridiculous rant based upon your ignorance of this subject and this man Cornelius, please give us YOUR PROOF that He was NOT a Sabbath keeper! That you have failed to do!

The seal of God is the Holy Spirit as Scripture expressly states.
It hasn't got anything to do with the 7th Day Jewish Sabbath which was the old creation Sabbath which faded away forever when Christ rose from the dead. When Christ rose from the dead the New Creation Sabbath was instituted. The Christian Sabbath will remain in place until the end of the World.

You can't beat that.!!!
Who cares. We do Bible here.
@AdventDefenseLeague Who Cares ?? 😲 That's why you misinterpret !!
I believe that there are many saved Catholic people and probably more than many other religions due to its sheer volume
I believe in the sacred Word of God and not in the other two pillars of the Catholic Church being the magisterium and the traditions of men. These I believe to be the leaven.
A question for you:
If the current pope or one of the priests or bishops were to say that he believes in certain kinds of unbiblical teachings such as certain kinds of marriage, the worship of idols, the worship of the dead, for example. Would you follow after his words or after the Words of God as written in His Word? Would you worship after the number of a man or after the number of God? Do you think that it’s the blood of Jesus that saves you or the indulgences of men that do? We cannot buy ourselves out of hell. We only have one mediator, one name by which we can be saved and not that of a saint or mary or a man but only that of Jesus Christ’s

It was because Satan was actually speaking through Peter, just like Satan speaks through everyone, sometimes
